Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone May 12 Playlist Update Now Live

In its weekly briefing on the Call of Duty franchise released yesterday, the Activision Games Blog outlined the Shoot the Rusty Ship playlist combining three popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps: Rust, Shipment, and Shoot House. Now that the update is out on all platforms for Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward has fully outlined what players can take on in the first-person shooter titles.

While Warzone is largely the same, Modern Warfare fans can play Shoot the Rusty Ship and a playlist called Dirty Old Houseboat that includes the same three maps using the Mosh Pit game mode. Infinity Ward also outlines how Gun Game Reloaded has been moved to the QuickPlay Filter and how Boots on the Ground War has been replaced by Core Ground War in a Tweet posted earlier today.

Alongside those playlists, another new payable operator, Iskra, is available to purchase for use in both Modern Warfare and Warzone through a bundle in the Call of Duty Store. More active bundles include the new "Twin Suns" bundle that focuses on offering players a stealthier approach to firefights as well as cosmetic items like a three-eyed lion emblem.

With all of these larger additions giving players more to keep themselves occupied amid ongoing global shutdowns on a weekly basis, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has also implemented stealth changes that many have picked up on. One of the most recent is a secret change to controller aim settings that appears to go further than simply balancing certain weapons.

The developers at Infinity Ward are also working on bug fixes across both games on the backend. Infinity Ward Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot recently responded to a player on Twitter who pointed out a major glitch preventing teammate respawns in Call of Duty: Warzone and let them know a fix would be coming soon.

While it seems there are always more issues to address in various Call of Duty games as the developers implement new game modes and operators to play with, the frequent updates have made the current series line-up more popular than ever. Modern Warfare is the best-selling Call of Duty game of all time, and recently Infinity Ward announced that Warzone has hit 60 million players.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
