Call of Duty Modern Warfare Farmland Exploit Reappears After Supposed Fix
One of the most popular exploits in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are those that allow players to glitch inside of other objects or buildings. Infinity Ward is usually quick to patch these problems, but one unlucky fan has become the victim once again to a "fixed" exploit.
Large maps are expected to be filled with tons of holes, problems, and exploits when they launch. Fans are getting concerned when months later, issues that were patched reappear causing game-breaking results in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare matches.
When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launched players flooded into all of the available modes. One of these modes is Ground War, which introduced the community to an exploit involving one of the buildings. Originally, it was marked as fixed within Infinity Ward patch notes but a new video on Reddit shows that the exploit has resurfaced. The video shows a player getting gunned down in Farmland from a corner, and can be viewed here.
At first glance, it would seem they were shot by a crouched enemy, but in the kill cam, something else is happening. The kill cam shows that the enemy is inside the building but outside the bounds of the game. This creates a situation where the enemy can shoot at players, but players can not shoot them due to the wall blocking the bullets. Although this is great for the enemy, it gives no way for the player to effectively kill the enemy camper.
By glitching through the mesh players can hide inside of select buildings on the Farmland map. Due to the map's size, fixing every hole is a difficult challenge. Infinity Ward's usual fix is adjusting the collision boxes to try and block players from slipping behind the map. Although this works most of the time, determined and persistent players will still find a way to slip in and abuse the game.
As Infinity Ward continues to patch holes, fix glitches, and remove exploits, fans are recommended to report any unusual activity within the game. There are tons of things broken within Call of duty: Modern Warfare, like the helicopter hitbox size, and only through constant reporting can players hope for change in this ever-evolving game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
