Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Players Discover New Wallbang Exploit on Gun Runner Map
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continues to be a title infested by game-altering glitches. A new video has surfaced that shows yet another glitch in Modern Warfare, adding to the countless issues that have affected the game since launch.
Modern Warfare is the best selling game of 2020, even with a launch in 2019, but that doesn't mean the game is perfect. Fans have been howling about many problems with the game, and it seems as if each day a new glitch is unsurfaced. Recently a pro COD player noticed what is a very unfair and effective wallbang on the map Gun Runner.
@Nastiee_ posted on his Twitter a short video demonstrating the issue. From inside the bathrooms of Gun Runner, @Nastiee_ shoots and gets seemingly dozens of hitmakers through a wall to a player on the other side. With bullet penetration being a game mechanic, this isn't all that surprising, as the bullets can still do damage through a wall at a less powerful rate. However, the enemy he is shooting outside then shoots @Nastiee_ back, and he is dropped immediately, proving that the wallbang is a one-way street, and anyone outside can laser down enemies in the bathroom through the wall.
Especially in professional settings, a wallbang exploit like this can be the difference between winning and losing. There was a Ground War glitch that made it so that players couldn't be shot when standing behind a one-way glass plane— this is similar to that.
Just a couple months ago, players discovered a glitch in Modern Warfare that would allow them to see through smoke with certain optics. This is an example of one player having a significant advantage over another, unless everyone decided to attach the same optic, which is certainly not the playing field that fans want.
Another recent Modern Warfare glitch allows players to skip the countdown and complete objectives while other players are waiting for the timer to end.
Not all of the glitches are in-game specific, as there have been issues where players lose battle pass progress, can't complete challenges, and having stats completely deleted. The massive update that came out last week for Modern Warfare has caused many problems, including unbelievably long wait times in lobbies, issues with in-game voice chat, and random spikes of lag that make the game unplayable. The new Modern Warfare update is so bad that some fans are saying they won't play until it is fixed, certainly overshadowing all of the content the update came with.
This most recent wallbang glitch probably doesn't top the list of things that need to be fixed, as some players are having issues with matchmaking and can't even get into games in the first place. However, with a new Call of Duty game for 2020 already being confirmed by Activision, many fans are simply asking that the COD games be more polished before release or updates.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
