Fortnite Adding Aquaman Skin, More in Season 3 | Game Rant
A gigantic new leak shows what may be on the way in Fortnite for Season 3 of Chapter 2. If the leak is to be believed, Fortnite may be going all out with a water-based season and will have a new Aquaman skin, huge changes to the map, and even sharks.
YouTuber Tabor Hill has uploaded a video indicating that he has inside information on what Epic Games is currently working on for the next season of Fortnite. Season 2 of Chapter 2 was extended until June 3rd, giving the developer over a month of extra time to work on the upcoming changes.
The overall theme of Season 3 of Chapter 2 will apparently be water, perhaps lining up with the summer months that the season will begin in. Just as Deadpool is an unlockable skin in Fortnite's current season, Aquaman will be a brand new skin in the next season, according to Tabor Hill's intel. He may be the perfect fit for it, as gigantic map changes based around adding more water are apparently on the way. Aquaman's DC-based brethren will apparently be featured in the new battle pass, although there's no news on actual skins for those characters yet.
Each new season of Fortnite usually comes with map changes, and the new season will be no different. Allegedly, water will be heavily featured and added extensively throughout the map. Water is currently used in bay areas, rivers, and more for quick traversal, but the new season looks to add to that. Players will be able to dive underwater in Fortnite, something that was found out on a separate leak that helps back up some of Tabor Hill's claims. On top of that, sharks will be added to the game that are rideable in the water, akin to Aquaman himself mounting a sea-beast in the comics. A new aquatic vehicle may also be apart of the season.
Even with all of the new changes, The Agency, one of the new locations and the theme of Season 2 of Chapter 2, is apparently going nowhere in the new watery season. Perhaps Epic Games was happy with the general theme of The Agency and will want to continue it in some form or another.
All of these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as some of the ideas seem ambitious and no one knows where exactly Tabor Hill got his information. Many wonder if Fortnite can regain the steam it had over the past two years that it seems to have lost. Ninja has ideas on how Fortnite can regain its popularity, but in the end, Epic Games probably knows best. An exciting new water-based season would definitely help.
Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
