Huge Animal Crossing: New Horizons Guide Books Are Selling Out
It's been more than a month since Animal Crossing: New Horizons released for the Nintendo Switch. In that time, numerous people have begun to create and cultivate all kinds of things within their respective islands. Though, with how much there is to do in Animal Crossing, guide books for the game have been incredibly useful.
With so many new people playing Animal Crossing for the first time, it seems likely that many players could use some help progressing. After all, there's a lot to do in this game and sometimes it's difficult to understand what to do next. Luckily, for those living in Japan, a couple of gaming publications have released guide books to help players through the process of playing, and they have been selling out almost immediately.
Though, admittedly these guide books are quite large and extensive, one is over one-thousand pages long. For such a simple game about luxurious island living, one-thousand pages seems like overkill. However, there are numerous challenges presented in the game that are quite obtuse without some kind of help from an outside source.
It seems odd that guide books are still as popular as they are. With the abundant amount of information readily available online, it seems rather unnecessary to purchase a physical guide book.
However, there's a pretty big flaw in terms of these guide books. Given how well the game has performed in terms of sales, Nintendo has told the gaming community that the company will be providing continuous updates to the game throughout the coming year. These updates will be similar to what's already come out, such as the art museum and the Bunny Day event. Thus, these guide books won't be able to account for those subsequent updates, unless the gaming publications decided to release expansions for the guide books.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the most recent installment of the beloved Nintendo franchise, and the game has received widespread critical and commercial success. In fact, the game recently became the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title to date, with nearly 13.5 million copies sold within the last month.
