Amazon MMO New World Reveals How Character Progression Works

Amazon's upcoming MMO, New World, has recently revealed how character progression will work when the game launches, along with more information about core skills that will be available.

New World, which was shown off at The Game Awards in 2019, is Amazon's projected entry into the MMO market. Amazon also has a Lord of the Rings MMO in the works, and has recently released Crucible--its third-person multiplayer shooter--to a lukewarm reception. While the release date has since been pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic, new information has now arrived about the way that skills, progression, and stats will work in Aeturnum, the game's setting.

The official New World website has been updated with plenty of details about the various skills that players can access as part of leveling up and gaining abilities in the MMO. In terms of character progression, New World will allow characters to gain proficiency across three specific in-game categories: Core Attributes, Trade Skills, and Weapon Mastery.
