Call of Duty: Warzone Player's Death Causes Crazy Screen Glitch
Call of Duty: Warzone fans know that glitches are common within the game. There have been several instances of funny, and not so funny, glitches occurring during matches, with most ending up on a report and set to be solved, but sometimes it is not that easy.
One Call of Duty: Warzone player was in an intense sniper battle when something crazy happened. After firing, dodging, and returning shots, the player gets killed with a funny result.
In the video, Reddit user hxrt is set on top of a building firing at an enemy team. After noticing a sniper scope, he immediately zooms in and begins laying down covering fire. Switching to a personally customized sniper, hxrt challenges the opposing player to a duel and begins firing at the enemy. He scores a kill in the doorway taking down one of the enemy player's teammates, then going back to his original target, but missing. Half a second later the enemy comes out from behind cover and scores a kill so devastating it causes hxrt's screen to freeze up and be covered in fragmented graphics triggering a strange Warzone glitch.
The comments are filled with jokes about glitch bullets and hackers, but the answer to what happened may have a simpler solution. Some players point out that when using snipers and scoping in Call of Duty: Warzone, the game's frame rate drops really low and then comes back up quickly. This rapid decrease and increase could have caused hxrt's GPU to crash resulting in fragmentation and artifacting.
Other fans say it is a problem with the game's engine itself. When the engine tries to render the game's graphics in the zoomed-in section, while maintaining the blurred background, players are met with a graphical glitch. In this case, most players have found a solution by disabled Anti-Aliasing within the game. Although this lowers the graphical quality of Warzone, players can rest easy knowing that their GPU is safe.
Either way, this makes for a fairly funny video as it gives the appearance that the sniper shot caused the damage. Although sniper rifles like Warzone's SKS Sniper Rifle are super powerful in the right hands, players do not have to worry about them causing damage to their systems.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
