It Takes Two Is the Newest Co-Op Game From Josef Fares
Josef Fares and his studio Hazelight have announced their newest co-op game, following 2013's Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out. It's called It Takes Two, and it promises to blend storytelling with high-concept gameplay. It Takes Two is a co-op action-adventure platformer that will, "blow your f**king mind away" according to director Fares. The story centers around a child whose parents are divorcing. She creates an imaginary version of her parents who have to work together to progress through the game. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/18/it-takes-two-announcement-trailer-ea-play-2020"] Fares lamented the disconnect between other games' stories and gameplay and is hoping to create gameplay mechanics about emotions in It Takes Two, with different levels based on different emotions of the playable characters. It Takes Two is slated to be released in 2021. Follow along with IGN as we cover today's EA Play Live in full. For more on Fares' last game, be sure to read IGN's A Way Out review.
