Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack 3 Character Wish List | Game Rant
Mortal Kombat 11 received a new expansion on June 16th called Aftermath, which gave Mortal Kombat 11 three new kombatants: Sheeva, Fujin, and RoboCop. It is rumored that another roster expansion is on the horizon, as files titled KP3 have been datamined, and there are some characters that players are itching to see added.
According to a rumor surrounding Mortal Kombat 11, there should be 4 new characters with 3 being male Mortal Kombat characters and the other being a female guest character. Analysis of the previous expansions suggest that developers are closing in on the 2:1 ratio of canon to guest characters with the 3rd installment. There haven't been any substantial claims as to who these characters are, but players already have some ideas as to who they might be or hope to see.
In Mortal Kombat 11, the plot features Sektor and Cyrax as opponents for the player to overcome. Both Sektor and Cyrax have been consistently playable characters throughout the Mortal Kombat franchise with their last inclusion being as a combined character in Mortal Kombat X known as Triborg. Despite having movesets programmed in the game's code, Sektor and Cyrax are not playable characters in the player vs player modes. Fans have been endlessly frustrated by this paradox because many expansions have come and not produced them as playable characters, but seeing as they are already a part of Mortal Kombat 11, it is safe to say that one or the other may not remain unplayable for long.
With the recent addition of RoboCop, a pregame dialogue between RoboCop and Jax mentions Strkyer. RoboCop's ending sequence in Mortal Kombat 11 also references Stryker visually in one of the dynamic stills. Those who remember him from Mortal Kombat (2011) will recall that his moves revolve around his gun and baton, not unlike RoboCop in Mortal Kombat 11. However, it is still possible for Stryker to make an appearance as he was last seen in Mortal Kombat X as a revenant. Because Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 share a timeline, there is no reason for him to be excluded for story purposes.
Originally a secret character from Mortal Kombat 4, Meat is an Easter egg character that was virtually unplayable until Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. MK 4 and MK Gold had Meat as a temporary re-skin for all characters that would have to be re-unlocked after the console was turned off. In Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Meat was officially featured as a permanently unlockable character with his own moveset. Nowadays, Meat can be seen stalking the halls of the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt where the game's unlockable items are stored. Seeing as a model for Meat already exists within the game's code, there is a reasonable chance that Meat may be added in a future dlc.
New Mortal Kombat guest characters have typically been difficult to predict. There is no telling what property the developers may get a hold of, but there are current guest characters that show where the devs have set their sights. It is not unlike Mortal Kombat developers to maintain a theme with their guest characters. For example: Mortal Kombat X had both the Xenomorph from Alien and the Predator from Predator as a thematic reference to Alien vs. Predator. Seeing as the T-800 Terminator is a part of Mortal Kombat 11, it would not be a stretch for Sarah Connor to be introduced as a kombatant. The Terminator movies that feature Sarah Connor all show that she would be a worthy foe for rest of the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.
The list of possible characters that may be included in the rumored 3rd Mortal Kombat 11 dlc pack is endless. Players will only know for sure once developers officially confirm something in the months to come. As it's kombatant roster grows, Mortal Kombat 11 will continue to provide players new avenues for playing the game and finding out what works best in online matches.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
