Pokemon GO Officially Delays Raid Invites For Friends | Game Rant
Pokemon GO has made some amazing strides over the last three months to make the mobile AR experience as play-from-home friendly as possible. Although some of these special remote friendly features may go away when the age of social distancing is a thing of the past, some features are sticking around for the long haul. Among the list of permanent new features is the very popular Remote Raid Pass option that allows players to battle Raid Bosses from further away than the usual restrictions permit.
To make remote raiding in Pokemon GO even more enticing, Niantic announced plans to allow players to invite Friends to Raids. This is a pretty exciting possibility and would make grouping up to take down Legendary Raid Bosses much easier. Although the original plans suggested that this feature might arrive before the end of June, that target date has apparently been shifted.
The fact that Battle Raid invites for Friends isn't arriving in June shouldn't come as too big of a surprise since there is only one day left in the month, but just to end the suspense for players who were still holding out hope, Niantic has confirmed that the feature won't be launching this month...
"Trainers, due to technical issues, we unfortunately will not be able to launch the ability to invite Friends to Raids this month. We will continue working towards a future release date. Please keep an eye on our official channels for further updates."
Unfortunately no new date was mentioned, but many trainers are still keeping their fingers crossed that this feature will become available sometime before late July, so that it will be an option during GO Fest 2020. Hopefully that's the case, but for now we'll all just need to wait and see what happens.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
