10 Strongest Teamfight Tactics Champion Combinations, Ranked
League of Legends' Teamfight Tactics is on Patch 10.13 and it has been an interesting set so far. Players have had time to figure out some of the strongest team comps and champion itemization paths, but which of these collections are the best to climb the ranks with?
When playing Teamfight Tactics, strategy and coordination is paramount to excelling. It is never more vital when deciding which champions work best with others. Let's talk about some of the most popular Teamfight Tactics synergies in the game right now.
10 Battlecast
This team is composed of one of the newer origins of the game. The stars are Cassiopeia, Kog'maw, and the five-star unit Urgot. Like other comps, this team works well with the Chrono buff, which gives allies an increase in attack speed. Paired with the chance for additional magic damage or healing from the battlecast buff this team has some sustain with high burst damage compatibility. Some items to prioritize would be Tear of the Goddess items and Morellonomicon for Victor and Cassiopeia and a hurricane and red buff for Kog'maw. Players should look out for tankier teams to get in their way as their frontline will be slightly weaker with a full battle cast team.
9 Infiltrator/Mech-Pilot
For this comp players will obviously need the core make up of the mech pilot; Annie, Rumble, and Fizz. Players should get these three built out as soon as they can and in the meantime pick up at least 4 infiltrators.
Shaco is a very strong infiltrator to keep your eyes on; deck him out with a Bloodthirster, Guardians Angel, and Infinity edge and he can carry your team for a while. Generally, players of this comp want to stay away from high (Damage Per Second) DPS teams like Blademasters and Blasters as they usually come equipped with sword breakers, and your mech can get silence.
8 Mystic Protectors
Lulu is a very disruptive 5 cost unit not to be messed with. This team is built with her in mind for late game as her polymorph can be useful disarming the hyper carries of others. Players will need to focus on gathering protectors and will gain the celestial buff along with it. Protectors such as Rakan, Xin Zhao, and Neeko will shield themselves for 4 seconds at the beginning of the match and absorb a percentage of damage, making them a great frontline. All the celestials will heal for a percent of the damage done by them, and the mystic buff from Cassiopeia, Soraka, and Lulu lets allies absorb a percentage of magic damage afflicted.
7 6 Rebels, 2 Demolitionists, 1 Starship
A six rebels comp is pretty fun to play with, as players get to use the devastating ultimates of Gangplank and Aurelion sol. As usual, Jinx will serve as your carry, equip her with items like Giant slayer and Red Buff to increase her damage. Once you have Aurelion Sol items like Blue Buff and Morellonomicon will work great on him, anything to increase the damage on his multi-targeted ultimate. Late game this team can start relying on Gangplank ultimate to always turn the tide in their favor. If the attack does not come soon enough and Gangplank dies your weaker frontline will not hold up very long.
6 Vanguard Mystics
Players who like tanky team fight tactics teams will gravitate to class like Vanguards. The more you have on your team the more Armor they get, but be sure to grab Jayce, Nautilus, and Wukong. What makes this comp even tankier is the magic resistance they get from the mystics.
Grabbing champions such as Soraka, karma, and Cassiopeia will activate the mystic buff, and with items such as Morellonomicon and blue buff players can turn Cassiopeia into a damage carry. Players should look out for Protector team and team with stacked attack damage such as Blademasters
5 Cybernetic
Cybernetic team comps are never a bad path for players to take no matter what. Cybernetic champions with at least one item partial or full will gain increased health and attack damage. With Irelia, Vayne, and Lucian it is easy to gain a strong carry with such a buff. A full cybernetic team with Ekko is the goal. Players can’t go wrong with an infinity edge on any of the carries, most focus on stacking Irelia. Cybernetics can be hard to beat late game, but players should not let their frontline only strong point be Vi for long periods of time; this could lead to Irelia dying too fast and bringing your team down.
4 Brawler Blasters
Jinx and Gnar are the stars of this comp, add the increased attack speed over time boost from Chrono and the maxim health increase buff from brawlers, players will have a solid high DPS type team. Players will also need to make sure they get their hands on the brawler Blitzcrank and the blaster Ezreal to get all the synergies going. Players who run blaster brawlers will need to watch out for Blademasters comps and sorcerer comps as they are able to out DPS you. Lastly, some core items to seek would be Giant Slayer, red buff for Jinx, and Ionic Sparks for your tanks.
3 Cybernetic/Blademaster
For this comp, the players' goal is to get a stacked riven or a stacked Irelia. They are considered the strongest Blademasters right now if built correctly. They both come with gap closers as part of their special ability. Pair that with the additional attacks they get from the Blademaster buff and the heal and increased attack damage from cybernetics origin, they make a very strong melee team.
This team as players will notice doesn't have a huge frontline so players may want to stack champions like Shen and Vi with tank items. If players don’t pay attention to how well their frontline is holding up their team will get beat by sniper comps with big front lines to keep their distance advantage.
2 Star Guardian Sorcerers
Star guardian Sorcerers are by far one of the strongest comps you can do right now. Players' main goal is to gather as many tears as they can and pray that Syndra, Victor, and Ahri burst the other team down in time. The Star Guardian origin gives mana to star guardians near them once they cast their abilities. This used alongside the sorcerer buff unleashes high damage abilities at a faster rate. Honestly, not many other comps can beat this team easily especially in late-game where this team shines. However, players of this comp should pay attention to tanky teams with Dragonclaw and Sword breaker, as they can be silenced and have a good amount of the star guardian damage absorb by these items.
1 Sniper Astro
Snipers are a pretty strong class with the amount of distance between their enemies adding on to their damage. Players will be set once they secure champions like Nautilus, Ashe, and especially Teemo. Teemo ultimate is devastating so imagine adding blue buff and ability power centric items to the little Yordle. Astro champions like Nautilus and Gnar will serve as the base for your frontline. Finally, players should watch out for Blademasters groups as they can chop through defenses quickly and out DPS players' sniper backline. This team can be very hard to beat especially when paired with other tanky classes like Vanguards.
