Animal Crossing Talk Show Books God of War Director, Last of Us 2 Cast Members
The discussion surrounding one of 2020's biggest games The Last of Us Part 2 is far from over. Two of its stars as well as another beloved PlayStation exclusive's director will be appearing in an upcoming episode of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons talk show.
While some are struggling to adapt to the new normal of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown procedures, others are thriving in it. The popular talk show Animal Talking has been using this opportunity to its advantage, hosting unique discussions via Twitch live streams and the world within Animal Crossing: New Horizons, another game seeing great success during these strange times.
Recently, Animal Talking managed to book Brie Larson as a guest, where they discussed her extensive video game resume, including how many hours she's poured into Fortnite. Taking the internet by storm in possibly its biggest episode to come, its host, Gary Whitta, has announced the booking of not only The Last of Us 2 stars Ashley Johson (Ellie) and Laura Bailey (Abby), but it will also be welcoming God of War's director Cory Barlog.
The Last of Us 2 also saw huge success during the lockdown, amounting to soaring sales worldwide. The pair of stars, also widely-known for their roles in the Dungeons and Dragons internet show Critical Role, have been appearing in numerous talk shows, discussions, and podcasts about the divisive nature of TLOU2's subject matter and story, including on the official Last of Us podcast. In the past, they've covered topics such as Abby and Ellie's character arcs and how they mirror one another, and it's expected that more deep dives will appear in the upcoming episode of Animal Talking.
Cory Barlog's appearance is also sure to excite gamers everywhere. He's been with the God of War series since its original 2005 installment and would go on to direct and write the 2018 God of War into success, claiming the title of Game of the Year. After the astounding ending shared between Atreus and Kratos, players have been highly anticipating not only the sequel but patiently awaiting news of a PC port of the award-winning game.
The next episode of Animal Talking will premiere on Wednesday, August 5th at 7 PM Pacific Time, and a mystery guest will be joining the already exciting group of artists. Twitter users are observing how PlayStation-centric the episode will be and are speculating the mystery guest will be another big name in PS exclusives, such as Neil Druckmann or Troy Baker.
The Last of Us Part 2 is now available for PlayStation 4.
