Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals Corporate V | Game Rant
One of the ways Cyberpunk 2077 will let players customize their experience (and there are a lot of customization options in Cyberpunk 2077) is by letting them effectively choose an origin story for their version of the protagonist V. CD Projekt RED has been teasing fans with glimpses at those different options this week, and today it capped things off by showing the unique looks awaiting the players who decide to go corporate.
When they create their own unique character at the start of the game, players will be able to select one of three “lifepaths” that determine where V is at the start of the game, which opening missions they’ll take on, and how they’ll be able to interact with Night City’s different factions. These lifepaths are called Nomad, Street Kid, and Corpo, and as the official Cyberpunk Twitter page reveals, each of these will also provide players with unique fashion options for both the male and female versions of V.
Perhaps the most stylish of these, depending on one’s preference, is the Corpo set. Besides granting access to a cute Witcher 3 Easter egg, choosing Corpo will provide players with sleek black and red suits fit for Cyberpunk’s high-stakes world of futuristic corporate intrigue.
If players are interested in a more street-level look, however, the Nomad and Street Kid lifepaths will have plenty of options for them to pick. As the images shared by CD Projekt RED show, those with a preference for leather vests and denim will be at home with the Nomad options, while the Street Kid clothes will offer a more urban alternative, as evidenced by female V’s metallic golden pants (the orange-bladed katana also helps sell the look).
These provide a decent overview of not just the range of fashion options players will have, but also how each lifepath will affect their place in Cyberpunk 2077’s world. What’s not immediately clear, though, is whether or not players will be able to wear clothes from different lifepaths, or how that might affect stats like Street Cred.
That said, CD Projekt RED has been pretty forthcoming with new information regarding Cyberpunk 2077 in recent weeks, and with only four months to go before the game finally launches, it’s likely that the developer will go into further detail on how its clothing affects gameplay soon enough.
Cyberpunk 2077 comes out on November 19 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions to follow.
