DayZ July 2 Update Fixes More Bugs | Game Rant
After Bohemia Interactive released a major content update for DayZ on June 30, it quickly went back to work to resolve all the new issues that arose after its release. Now, with DayZ's 1.17 July 2 Hotfix update, the developer has sent out a first wave of patches for issues.
According to the complete patch notes from DayZ's associate producer, players can no longer place tents "from large height differences." Weapons will also no longer break when players try to load bullets. Other bugs that have been fixed did not allow players to stack bark in a fireplace, and used to let them refill broken car radiators.
Bohemia also confirmed that a widget would no longer freeze up if players were holding an item on their quickbars while trying to access the inventory menu. Finally, the patch notes announced fixes that stopped players from attaching four pieces of cooking equipment to the fireplace. Moreover, DayZ players will no longer break the game's watchtower by dismantling the first floor.
However, this first hotfix has not resolved some of DayZ's major issues. On the day this patch was released, Bohemia Interactive confirmed that several community servers were still offline, and the patch notes also promised the team was aware of other "performance issues and crashes" after the DayZ 1.08 content update. Hopefully, the developers will be able to resolve these issues as soon as possible.
DayZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
