DC Universe Online Launches Wonderverse Event | Game Rant
DC Universe Online fans have a lot to look forward to, as the latest episode for the game launches today, including the event version of the episode which is free for all players in the game across all platforms. Originally announced in June, the release is a few weeks shy of DC Fandom, which may have its own slew of DC related announcements.
The new episode, titled Wonderverse, has new and veteran players battling The New Gods of Apokalypse. With a cracked Source Wall, the multiverse has begun to merge and the only way to stop this catastrophe is to team up with heroes from other multiverses. Players will work with the Council of Wonder Women to stop the menace and repair the Source Wall.
While Wonder Woman fans have to wait a little longer for Wonder Woman 1984, the new expansion may help as it includes a slew of different Wonder Women joining forces in the new council. Led by Nubia, the council will include Flashpoint Wonder Woman and Red Son Wonder Woman, both are well known in the comics but are newcomers to DC Universe Online. Working with the council, players will have to work together to restore the Source Wall to its natural state.
The new threat is led by Darkseid with Grail, and Orion also joining in, all three are trying to collect fragments of the Source Wall itself to sustain their powers. Players will also have to take back the fragments from the gods themselves if they are to have any chance to keep the peace and restore the multiverse so expect to run into Zeus, Hera, and for the first time in the game, Poseidon.
