Hilarious Red Dead Redemption 2 Video Features John Marston and Arthur Morgan Rapping
Red Dead Redemption 2 YouTuber Strange Man has just reached an impressive milestone for his channel, breaching 100,000 subscribers. In celebration of this, he has created an absolutely hilarious music video of both John Marston and Arthur Morgan rapping together in what can only be described as an amazing edit.
Obviously, Red Dead Redemption 2 characters don't rap on their own, so Strange Man had to edit together pieces of dialogue in order to create a coherent rap. This wasn't just cutting and pasting, though, as certain lines had to be slowed down, sped up, or delayed, and there must have been a ton of dialogue to comb through.
The result is a pleasing if not silly rap performed by the two protagonists themselves, with some guest stars from other popular Rockstar Games titles part way through. The video below shows the full rap, but viewer discretion is advised as there is some harsh language in it.
Titled "What's This, Who's That?" the rap pokes fun at the frequency with which both characters use those lines. It doesn't seem to follow any particularly coherent story but it does rhyme throughout for the most part. The most impressive part of this whole thing is the insane amount of time that must have gone into editing it and curating the dialogue lines from this massive game. What's more, though there is a beat behind the rap, Strange Man has taken a sample from the game in the form of a scream from the protagonist, and viewers get to watch him falling to his death numerous times throughout the video.
Towards the end, some other characters make cameos, including Grand Theft Auto 4's Nico and other characters from RockStar Games. This doesn't break the immersion in the slightest, though, as all of these characters seem to have a similar disposition to the world around them. Strange Man's fans are absolutely lovin the edit, and many are already looking forward to the 1 million subscribers special. Red Dead Redemption 2 is nearing its second birthday, but the game's popularity hasn't declined much at all. This is no doubt in part due to content creators keeping the spark alive, and great videos like this do just that.
Fans of this music video would do well to check out more of Strange Man's content and consider subscribing to his channel. Though his other videos aren't music videos like this one, he does lore dives and explores some of Red Dead Redemption 2's greatest mysteries with intriguing videos.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
