Isle of Armor Max Mushroom Locations: 10 Tips For Getting More In Pokémon Sword And Shield

Pokémon Sword and Shield recently saw an introduction of Max Mushrooms with The Isle of Armor DLC. The goal of the new feature is to create soup, called Max Soup, which unblocks the Gigantamax form for Pokémon.  Note that it is only Pokémon with a Gigamantax form that can take the soup. For instance, if a gamer feeds the Max Soup to a Venusaur, it will Gigantamax.

Now, for a player to create Max Soup, a fan must go through the storyline in the Isle of Armor and unlock the kitchen, after which they will gain access to the new feature. Similarly, to prepare soup, a player needs more than 3 Max Mushrooms. Whenever the player comes across a mushroom, it is only possible to harvest one. This essentially means that it can be a daunting task to harvest 3. This list gives seven essential tips for getting more mushroom locations:

10 The Warm-Up Tunnel

Go through the Forest of Focus up to the end. You should eventually come out through the other side and come across a cave with a hiker standing next to it. This is what is referred to as the Warm-up Tunnel. The cave is marked with Flying Tax spots. The spots are noticeable when a player moves closer.

Head inside and walk through it up to where there are pick Max Mushrooms growing. Fight off the enemy (Avery in Pokémon Shield and Klara in Pokémon Sword) to claim the Mushrooms. Honey will call after the player picks up the mushrooms, and the player can go back to the Dojo to advance to the story. While this task may seem confusing initially, if you do not listen to Mustard, following this guide as well as the exclamation point on the map in the title will make it a breeze to locate Max Mushrooms smoothly and quickly.

9 Take Note Of Where It Spawned

One advantage of this game is that Max Mushrooms have specific spawn locations. This essentially means that, when they spawn in a certain place, and you uproot them, they will again spawn at the same place the next time.

So check these areas regularly. Technically, these areas include the Brawler's cave, Warm-up tunnel, Courageous Cavern, and Forest of focus. When you locate a Mushroom, keep that place in mind so that it is easier to find it in the future.

8 More Raids

While there aren't re-spawn timers in the title, there is a way to make Max Mushrooms re-spawn quickly, and it is pretty straightforward. Maximize raid battles and fights on the Isle of Armor. This allows players to do raids almost everywhere on the Island.  Do not limit the attacks to areas where Mushrooms spawn.

Now, every time you do a raid anywhere on the island, odds are a Max Mushroom can spawn. Also, because there is only one chance for a mushroom to spawn per raid, it is highly recommended that a player does at least 4 to 6 raids before going out to search. Several Max Mushrooms can easily spawn as you conduct more raids.  This essentially means that the more your raids are, the higher the chances of a mushroom spawning. However, if this option is a bit cumbersome, a gamer can opt for Wishing Pieces instead of raids.

7 Turn Off Battle Animations

Sadly, for some players going through all of these raids can be lengthy and tiresome. To make it a bit faster, turn off battle animations.

It is also recommended that a player selects a Pokémon that can handle every raid individually. This way, the player doesn't have to continuously mover their party around.

6 Pokémon Have Their Dynamax Level Maxed Out

A robust Dracovish with a fistulous Rend, Choice Band, and Strong Jaw ability can fight almost everything. However, players should not Dynamax the Dracovish because it tends to lose a lot of power when in such a situation as it doesn't get the advantage of a strong jaw or choice band.

The only enemy that Dracovish cannot fight is some Dragon- and Fairy-types. For such enemies, players can use Duraludon, Charizard, or Venusaur. Consider Gigamantaxing them for optimum performance.

5 Level Up Early

Leveling up is the solution to winning gym badges, getting stronger, and ultimately concurring the league.  If a player wants to go through the game smoothly, spend some time early in the game countering low-level wild Pokémon.

This will help level up the starter Pokémon and help a player progress through the initial phases of the game even when at a disadvantage in fights.

4 Catch The Best Pokémon

There are times when a player comes across a Pokémon that they really want and settle on it. However, this doesn't always mean it is the best.

Chances of finding a similar Pokémon at a higher stage with better IVs and movesets are very high. This will play a critical role in making the play easier and stronger. Take time and think about it critically before you settle on one.

3 Increase Difficulty

Increase the difficulty, if looking for more challenges. Change the gaming style from Switch to set.

This will allow a player to play on after the opponent faints. The gamer won't be prompted to swap their Pokémon. And as you do this, check other options like skipping movies, which will be very helpful in case a player has to repeat anything.

2 Talk To Everyone You Can

Any long term Pokémon fan knows that talking to almost everyone you meet, particularly those in Galar's Wild Area. They normally have items to gift like Pokémon or fun facts that will come in handy in the Gym Challenge Journey.

1 Feed As Many Pokémon As Possible

The Mushrooms you pick for your battles are not the only ones on the Island. There are others.

So make more soup, and feed any Pokémon that can Gigantamax. Then use them in battles to boost the Pokémon's statistics. This will also make mushrooms re-spawn regularly in random locations like caves, and along walls.
