Snyder Cut of Justice League Won't Use Any Joss Whedon Footage

Today at Justice Con, Justice League director Zack Snyder stated that he refuses to use even a "single frame" from Joss Whedon's reshoots of the film for his Snyder Cut - which is headed to HBO Max in 2021. Snyder emphatically said that he'd "literally blow that f***ing thing up" before using any of Whedon's footage, stating too that the theatrical version of the film from 2017, which Whedon oversaw the extensive reshoots on, was "separate" from the DCEU timeline. "There would be no chance on Earth that I would use a shot from after I left the movie," he shared. "I would destroy the movie, I would set it on fire, before I use a single frame that I did not photograph," Snyder explained. "That is a f***ing hard fact." You can hear Snyder say all this and more in the full Spotlight on Zack Snyder panel from Justice Con below. The specific comments mentioned above can be found starting around the 35:40 mark... [youtube clip_id="g_Kg6Cxwn18"] Also during Justice Con, Snyder showed fans a sneak peek at the "Snyder Cut of Justice League" by revealing a brief clip of Henry Cavill's Superman in the black costume not seen in the theatrical release. In the clip, Superman arrives at Bruce Wayne's lake house where Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) is working on a car. More from Justice Con: Actor Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in Justice League, said that there was currently an investigation happening regarding his allegations of on-set abuse by Joss Whedon, and that Whedon should be "scared."
