Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Puzzles Day 6: The Final Tape
The last and final videotape for Call of Duty 2020 has appeared on the infamous pawntakespawn teaser site. Fand flooded into streams, the website itself, and Warzone to try and find more information about the upcoming Call of Duty release. With six total ciphers and six videotapes, fans feel closer than ever to an answer about the upcoming game.
The final video held yet another cipher key and paired itself with the launch of yet another page on the site. The new page granted fans a final answer to the cipher solution, but the video holds the final key. Each Call of Duty video holds a set of numbers, and each colored dot associating with a puzzle means that fans have a long day of history ahead of them.
The video itself is set in 1981. During this year Reagan had to deal with assassination attempts, extra allies, and the constant battle of information with Russia. Intermixed with the nuclear strike information is the constant baseball discussion of yet another strike. An infamous game of baseball mixed with civil rights implications is mixed with Reagan's reassurances towards the people of US safety in a nuclear situation. Although there is no answer to a middle range missile strike, he rests assured that Russia will back down for the sake of both countries, or doom the world to mutual destruction. The answer is deterrence or the constantly building arms that assure neither side will attack.
The new video provided a good glimpse into an era of war, distrust, and speculation. At the time people were unsure what Russia was going to do, and the attempted assassination of Reagan only made matters more tedious and tense. The entire video and an aura of discomfort as the footage switched rapidly between displaying the numbers and displaying the news footage.
With the final tape out, fans can finally make real progress on the ciphers, clearing the way to final launch codes for what fans hope is the official Call of Duty 2020 Cold War reveal.
Fans gather around the secret site and dig for more information buried within the video's number, the never-ending list of ciphers, and the new page that has just appeared. The community is hungry for a full release video, and at this rate, nothing is going to stop them from solving the cipher Easter Eggs and finding an answer to the Call of Duty 2020 trailer.
Call of Duty 2020 is under development from Raven Software and Treyarch.
