Control Ultimate Edition is Heavily Discounted for PC | Game Rant

Just last year, Remedy Entertainment released Control, offering players exciting combat, fleshed-out characters, and a deeply immersive and engaging story. Although the game's performance on the market was a little bit underwhelming, Control still received critical acclaim due to the flawless execution of various elements that resulted in one cohesive game.

Now, players who are interested to enter the world of the Federal Bureau of Control would be happy to know that the game's Ultimate Edition is currently discounted for the PC. Players can purchase Control Ultimate Edition for $27.19, which is 32% off its original list price of $39.99. To the uninitiated, the Ultimate Edition was just announced earlier this month and released on Steam several days ago.

The game's Ultimate Edition comes with The Foundation expansion alongside AWE, which is the latest DLC released for the game that features a crossover between Control and Alan Wake. Additionally, the Ultimate Edition also includes all the extra content that was later added to the game such as the Expeditions Game Mode and Photo Mode. Of course, those who are looking into playing Control should consider the Ultimate Edition given that it is the version that provides the complete experience of the game.

Meanwhile, players on consoles who will purchase Control Ultimate Edition will also be getting a free next-gen upgrade. This means that those who own the Ultimate Edition on either the PS4 or Xbox One will also be able to access the game once it is made available on the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X. Although this is good news for console players who still haven't purchased the game, those who already own it were understandably upset, though they will still be able to play the game via backward compatibility, but without the bonuses of the Ultimate Edition. Of course, this doesn't affect PC players in any way given that they will always have access to the game no matter which version of it they own.

As of the moment, it is still unclear whether Control will be getting a sequel anytime soon, but Remedy Entertainment is more than open to the idea. A couple of months ago, a job listing sparked rumors about the possibility of a Control sequel. The listing is for a Senior Producer that will be given a key role in the Control franchise. Although it is not unlikely that the position is referring to Control 2, it could also be for the DLCs that are already released and the upcoming port of the game to next-generation consoles.

Control is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will release in the future for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
