Dr Disrespect Confirms Return to Streaming | Game Rant
In an exciting yet cryptic tweet, Dr. Disrespect finally confirms that he will be returning to the streaming scene. Ever since his unexpected Twitch ban, he has been mostly silent on his plans for the future. Now, thanks to this tweet, fans know that the legend will be streaming on YouTube tomorrow.
Twitch refused to give a reason for Dr. Disrespect's ban to viewers and the streamer himself, stating only that he violated the platform's terms of service. To this day no one really knows what happened that caused the ban, though speculation, of course, runs rampant.
Some claim Dr. Disrespect's ban had criminal origins, but it doesn't seem like the streamer has faced any consequences for anything outside of Twitch. Others simply chalk it up to Twitch's erratic and seemingly random banning procedures, but given how much revenue must have brought the platform that seems unlikely.
More likely than not, the reason for Dr Disrespect's Twitch ban will never come to light, but what matters is that he is hitting the ground running again and getting back into character. The tweet simply says "Tomorrow, we arrive," and doesn't give any timeframe for when fans should tune in, but that probably won't be a problem.
Earlier today, Dr Disrespect did a test run stream in which he showed his intro screen for a half-hour, and that stream pulled in over 400k viewers. It doesn't seem like he'll lose too many fans following his abrupt departure from Twitch where he built his following.
It's unclear at the moment if Dr Disrespect has signed an exclusivity agreement with YouTube, as the man behind the mask, Guy Beahm, claimed he wasn't interested in exclusivity deals not long ago. Even so, one can be certain that streaming companies are vying for his content now that he's off Twitch, as it is no doubt valuable due to the immense levels of traffic it provides. Beyond this, there are no details about the stream in terms of timeframe, what type of content to expect, or the like. It could end up being a typical Dr Disrespect stream as though nothing happened or fans could finally get some answers.
Fans are obviously thrilled about this development, as they've been waiting months to see the Dr himself back in action. The comments are full of memes, messages of support, and general enthusiasm. It is almost certain that his official return stream will be highly attended, prompting many to make jokes at Twitch's expense.
Dr Disrespect is streaming on YouTube tomorrow.
