Marvel's Avengers Leak Hints at Tons of Possible Content
Crystal Dynamics' Marvel's Avengers will be launching in just a few days. The leadup to the game has been filled with anticipation and even some controversy, and now a ton of possible content may have been leaked just before the release of Marvel's Avengers.
The massive leak video has just been posted on YouTube. The content, if real, would include a new raid, the idea that echo fighters would be added to the game, and a huge list of new characters that may soften the blow a bit of the news of Spider-Man being an exclusive character for the PlayStation in Marvel's Avengers.
The leak should be taken with a grain of salt until confirmed, but anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled about possible leaks may want to look away. As the game's release gets closer, fans have already started digging through the files of the game and have found information regarding DLC for Marvel's Avengers and upcoming content.
It has already been revealed that Marvel's Avengers will have raids, and the first one will be made available soon after launch. Dataminers found information pointing to Wakanda, and the possibility of the region being the location of the first raid in the game. The beautiful land would certainly be an intriguing location for Marvel's Avengers.
The timing would certainly be interesting, thanks to the incredibly tragic death of Chadwick Boseman. Boseman starred as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and even if the games and films aren't connected, Boseman is now forever intertwined with the character. Black Panther is one of the characters that was also found in the data-mining, along with Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Mocking Bird, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Winter Soldier, and others.
One of the other very thought-provoking finds is that some of the characters seem to have an "echo-fighter" system attached to them. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate uses this approach. The idea is that two characters will have very similar movesets and feels, while still being different characters as a whole. Dark Samus, Chrom, and Daisy from Smash Bros. Ultimate are echos of Samus, Roy, and Peach, for example. In Marvel's Avengers, it looks like She-Hulk could be an echo of Hulk and War Machine could be an echo of Iron Man, with others probably in the roster as well.
The leaks for Marvel's Avengers sound very realistic, although they are not yet confirmed. The ideas are not off the wall updates that wouldn't make sense. Marvel's Avengers is designed to be a game of service type game, so adding more heroes, echos, and raids all feel like genuine possibilities.
Marvel's Avengers will release September 4 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.
