Ninjala Threatens More Player Bans | Game Rant
Ninjala developer GungHo Online Entertainment has made it clear in recent times that it won’t be tolerating problematic players who make the game more unpleasant for everybody else. Earlier this week, it threatened to ban players who repeatedly engage in unsportsmanlike behavior, and today it called out another group at risk of being hit with bans.
In a new statement on the game’s official website, GungHo issued a warning to players who “repeatedly exit the Matching Lobby after entering,” following “considerable user feedback” regarding the issue. This is on top of the reported instances of players repeatedly idling and generally not participating in Ninjala matches that the developer previously threatened bans over.
GungHo acknowledged that at least some of the reported cases of players leaving the Matching Lobby could be unintended, as lots of players struggled with server issues back when Ninjala first launched. Without going into specifics, the developer stated that it’s “aware of some of the reasons behind this behavior,” and doing everything it can to fix what can be fixed on its end.
That said, it stressed that players intentionally and repeatedly leaving the lobby are inconveniencing others, and asked that they stop engaging in this behavior. Whether these players will actually listen remains to be seen, but GungHo is keeping a close eye on the situation, so if all else fails, it will start issuing bans for actions that it deems malicious. “The Ninjala team will continue to do everything to ensure a fair and enjoyable game environment for all players,” it said in closing.
Ninjala is free-to-play for Switch.
