The Pedestrian on PS4 Lets Players Play As A Stick Figure
Sony's State of Play event reveals that The Pedestrian is coming to PS4 this January. This peculiar indie game places players in control of a stick figure, much like one might see on a bathroom or traffic signal, and tasks them with solving various puzzles and platforming challenges. The brief minute or two of gameplay shown already has some fans captivated, so it will be interesting to see how the game performs.
It should be said that The Pedestrian isn't brand new, as it actually released on PC in January of 2020, but this will be the first chance that console players have to experience it. The game's reviews on Steam are overwhelmingly positive, netting it a 10/10 rating and earning praise from users and developers alike.
Though it may seem like a simple premise at first, the trailer quickly shows that things get pretty complicated. At one point, the player is working with electric wires, moving around various chalkboards and other writing receptacles in order to solve puzzles. Players wanting to know more about The Pedestrian may need to dig into its Steam version or watch some videos online.
Those wanting to give The Pedestrian a try before it releases on PS4 this coming January should head over to Steam and download the free demo. This demo gives a glimpse at how the gameplay feels, though there are bound to be differences between the console and PC versions. Either way, the unique premise of the game managed to impress 1000 Steam reviewers over the last year, so it is sure to do so again on PS4.
The Pedestrian is available now on PC and releases on PS4 this January.
