Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Warzone Double XP and Playlist Update is Live
The latest playlist update has arrived for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. The last playlist update of season 5 brings a load of double XP, allowing players to rank up as quickly as possible before Season 6 of Modern Warfare and Warzone begins.
The newest playlist update for MW and Warzone brings a bevy of modes, including Shipment 24/7 and Shoot House 24/7, two fast-paced, hectic, and fan-favorite modes that help with leveling up weapons and overall progression quickly. The update also comes with Deathmatch Domination and Drop Zone.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the playlist update is the barrage of double XP and progression for Modern Warfare and Warzone. From today through the remainder of Season 5, players will receive double XP, double weapon XP, and double tier progression. For anyone who hasn't yet finished the battle pass, but is hoping to do so before Season 6 starts, the double tier progression will be very useful.
Outside of the standard multiplayer modes, the update also brings back Gunfight Snipers 3 vs 3 to MW. Gunfight is the tactical small-team based single life mode. The intimate mode has caught on as more than just a little gimmick addition, as it is arguable the most strategic multiplayer experience in the game. The snipers variant has players going up against each other with long-range rifles, drastically altering the flow of the game.
Warzone is also seeing a different mode added to the game, one that players appreciated in the past. The return of Mini Royale has players revamping their strategies for Warzone, as the action is intense and short, much like the first few minutes of a standard match and the end-game scenarios. The mode is played in Trios (teams of three) but standard Battle Royale will also be available.
Season 6 will see changes to the Warzone map, a couple of new operators, the return of some fan-favorite weapons from the previous Call of Duty games, and more. Of course one of the things that will be a part of the new season is a brand new battle pass. All of this is exciting, but if anyone hasn't quite yet finished the battle pass of Season 5, the fast-approaching Season 6 can be nerve-wracking. Luckily the plethora of playlists designed for quick action and the double XP and progression for these last few days of Season 5 are specifically implemented for that reason. So now is the time to drop in and level up.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
