Rivet City is one of the more important settlements, so it makes sense it would be well-defended. Players should take this into account if they ever feel like assaulting the place.

9 Head Of Security Is A Synth

The head of security of Rivet City is named Harkness. What players might not know is that he is a synth and once worked for The Institute. Harkness once worked for the Synth Retention Bureau before he became sentient and escaped.

Another member of the Synth Retention Bureau, Dr. Zimmer, came to Rivet City to look for Harkness. The player can either turn Harkness in or convince Dr. Zimmer that the synth is dead.

8 Seagrave Holmes Was A Slaver

Seagrave Holmes is the grandson of one of the Rivet City Council founders, Anette Holmes. He also has a store in Rivet City where he sells junk. Despite his assumed high standing in Rivet City, Seagrave also has a dark past.

Diego was an acolyte in the church, meaning he had to leave in order to marry Angela. While they are teenagers, Angela is 16 and Diego is 18. Father Clifford will perform the wedding, allowing Diego to leave the church.

6 Target Option For Bradley-Hercules

It is known that Rivet City is an important settlement in the Capital Wasteland. It should be no surprise it has caught the attention of the Enclave. In the Broken Steel DLC, players can gain access to the Enclave's Bradley-Hercules satellite.

There are five targets to choose from: the Citadel, Project Purity, Megaton, Rivet City Carrier, and Adams AFB Platform. The player is only able to choose the Citadel or the Adams AFB Platform, meaning the citizens of the Capital Wasteland are safe for one more day.

The population started to grow, and the settlement became as big as it did. When Dr. Li came to Rivet City, Pinkerton's science team abandoned him, and he was kicked off the Rivet City Council.

1 Citizens Prone To 'Red Lung'

It should be expected that an old aircraft carrier might have some health threats. The ship is rusting, causing citizens to breathe in rust particles. The rust also causes citizens to get tetanus infections.

The citizens of Rivet City call this sickness the '"Red Lung." While the player is not able to be infected with this, it is interesting to hear about a sickness from the settlement. Despite being one of the most advanced settlements in the Capital Wasteland, it seems they cannot escape disease.
