Grounded's Next Content Update Release Date Confirmed | Game Rant
Obsidian Entertainment's sandbox survival game Grounded stirred up a lot of excitement when it launched in Early Access in late July. But many players burned through the available content in Grounded and set it aside until the next update. Now, Obsidian is ready to reveal more of its plans, confirming the release date of the next update in a new Developer Vlog. Grounded fans can expect a new wave of content arriving on September 30.
For the time being, Obsidian isn't ready to reveal what kind of specific content will be included in the September 30 update. During the Developer Vlog, Obsidian social media manager Shyla Schofield says players can expect "new items and changes," as well as "new content, game changes, and fixes." While that doesn't reveal anything for players to get too excited about, it does reveal that the scope of the update is broad. It should be filled with plenty of surprises for Grounded players to have fun with.
Shortly after Grounded's big August update, Obsidian did share much of its plans for the future as part of a Feature Board website and roadmap. The website collects not just Obsidian's plans for the September update, but also bigger plans for months (or even years) down the road. September's currently confirmed content includes buildings including ziplines, signs, and spinning wheels, a landmark named the Frankenline and other Halloween goodies, and something Obsidian's dubbed the "Hedge Content Update."
The developer vlog also provides some interesting details regarding Grounded's AI for certain bugs. It's information that aspiring Grounded experts will definitely want to be informed on. For example, how wandering aphids can lead to clovers or how weevils are always looking for mushrooms. In a pinch, following an aphid or a weevil could prove very useful. It just goes to show that even in Early Access, Grounded is filled with mysteries few players fully uncover.
Grounded is available now on PC and Xbox One in Early Access.
