Nier: Automata 2B Nendoroid Pre-Order Date Announced | Game Rant
Good Smile Company shared two images of its upcoming Nier: Automata 2B Nendoroid figurine via Twitter today. The posted images show the first painted prototype of the figure, and thus may not completely reflect the final product.
Fans who are eager to get their hands on the Nier: Automata figurine should be happy to know that pre-orders for the Nendoroid will open on September 29, 2020, although no release date or official price has yet been provided.
In the posted Twitter images, 2B, aka YoRHa No. 2 Type B, is shown wearing her blindfold and holding what appears to be Cruel Blood Oath, a large sword discovered in the Desert: Camp area of Nier: Automata. The crossed hilts of two sheathed swords are also visible over her shoulder. In the other image, the android is accompanied by Pod 042, who attaches to 2B’s clear plastic stand so he appears to hover in the air.
As the protagonist of Route A in Nier: Automata, 2B has proven to be a popular character among fans. Since the title’s release in 2017, numerous other games have featured an appearance by 2B, including Final Fantasy 14, Gravity Rush 2, SINoALICE, Phantasy Star Online 2, and Soulcalibur 6.
Over the years, Good Smile Company has created Nendoroid figurines for a number of popular video game characters, including Ellie from The Last of Us 2, Sam Porter Bridges from Death Stranding, and Mei from Overwatch. A chibi-style alternative to the more realistic Dark Horse or McFarlane Toys figurines, Nendoroids stand approximately four inches tall, just bigger than an average Funko Pop figure.
Nier: Automata is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
