Paladins Reveals New Champion Vora | Game Rant
Hi-Rez Studios has revealed the newest member of Paladins: Champions of the Realm, the free-to-play, objective-based team shooter. Vora will be the next Champion in Paladins, coming in October.
Vora is a mysterious character, as she was once a loyal guardian who devoted her life to the Goddess. However, after evil events took place and she felt neglected, she has chosen a bloody path of vengeance, and now wields dark powers. Vora is the 46th Champion in Paladins, which is many more than Overwatch, a game that Paladins is often compared to.
Full details of Vora will be shared with an update show that will be happening on Twitch on September 30. For now, the trailer is all there is to try to glean information from. The video doesn't show any gameplay, but it does show hints of how she will play in the cross-platform shooter that is Paladins.
According to how the video is presented, Vora the Harbinger seems to have flying or levitation type abilities, similar to characters such as Evie, Androxus, and Drogoz. She also wields a scythe and has the ability to move rather quickly. Vora is the herald of chaos, and her design and mechanics seem like a solid fit for an October Champion, as she gives of vampire and horror vibes.
Paladins is a free-to-play game, and the fact that it is crossplay makes it an easy title to enjoy with friends on various platforms. These aspects and more make it a solid alternative to Overwatch with unique aspects all to its own. Hi-Rez has loyally supported the game well beyond its initial 2016 release.
Paladins is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
