Persona 5: Every Recruitable Persona Inside Kamoshida's Palace
The Persona series has no shortage of Persona's to choose from. Ever since the first entry back in the 90s, players have been able to control a vast variety of them. Although the ones initially picked were fairly weak, they eventually are able to get incredibly powerful Personas capable of shaking the bosses. Of course, while the addiction of getting a variety of Persona's is present, it is just as gratifying when the characters get their first personas to build up to something greater. Like the ones seen in Kamoshida's palace in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.
As such, here are every single Persona that the players can recruit in Persona 5 Royal. Players are noted that these descriptions will also talk about the Personas at their full power, which requires continual playing.
13 Jack O Lantern
The first Persona on the list is Jack O Lantern. Also known as Pyro Jack, it is based on the fabled legendary character of the same name who was able to convince the devil not to take him to hell. However, because he wasn't able to get into heaven, he wandered the world as the pumpkin-headed character.
The Jack O Lantern Persona is a level 2 Persona that is primarily a fire-based character. It is capable of draining fire, which makes it very useful against fire-based personas. However, it has a major weakness against ice and wind.
12 Pixie
Pixie is an incredibly popular Persona not just in the series but also in Shin Megami Tensei. Based around local English folklore, they are creatures that like to play pranks on humans around the woodland areas. As a level 2 Persona, she is primarily designed to be for support skills. Having skills such as Dia, Zio and some buff skills, she is a solid character to have when to heal the player in a pinch. That being said, she is incredibly weak against gun, ice and curse skills. Making her one of the most brittle personas to have.
11 Mandrake
Also known as the Mandragora, the lore behind the Mandrake is that they are a poisonous plant that grows directly from the graves of the guilty. Apparently, if someone attempts to pull the creature out of the grave, it will initiate a shriek so fierce and horrible it will kill them. These debilitating effects are shown in their Persona 5 Royal skillset, thanks to their focus causing confusion and having decent physical attacks. They are also capable of resisting lightning although they have a weakness for wind damage.
10 Agathion
Agathion is a Persona based on a familiar spirit. They can take many different forms from being a human to an animal spirit. Sometimes it is even able to take a form of items such as a talisman. In Persona 5 Royal, Agathion is a level 3 persona that seems to be decently well-rounded. It can heal and offer out lighting damage while also being capable of employing physical damage. It is capable of resisting gun and even dodges electricity. However, the persona is still weak against wind.
9 Bicorn
Bicorns are unholy unicorns due to being hated as disgusting monsters. This is thanks to their spiral horns which symbolizes female seduction and overall represent adultery. By the time the player has the opportunity to capture this persona, it will be level 4. Although its offensive abilities aren't the best, with garu and light physical, it is capable of reducing the shadows attacks. They also have an ability that allows it to increase critical chances. However, it is incredibly weak with electricity while resisting curse.
8 Incubus
A male demon, the incubus's are sexualized demons that primarily have intercourse with sleeping women in order to sire a child. Continued intercourse results in the decline of health for the recipients. This trait is somewhat seen in the game of Persona 5 Royal, thanks to the life drain ability which steals the HP of an opponent. Combine that with curse attacks and abilities to decrease the attack of an opponent and it's a decent persona to recruit.
7 Cait Sith
Cait Sith is a fairy that likes to take the form of a cat. Being very similar to the Puss In Boots of stories, the character is the type that likes to travel between the human world and the world of the felines. Specifically showing up in Persona 5 Royal, the persona is able to resist electricity and is a solid all-rounder. Capable of inflicting fire damage, healing party members, and doing physical damage. However, it is weak to wind magic.
6 Kelpie
Kelpie's are supernatural horses that like to haunt water areas within the Scotland region. With cold, wet skin, Kelpie likes to lure young children into the rivers in order to eat them after they have drowned into the water. As a level 6 persona, it is able to do decent damage from light physicals to physicals that also inflict fear. It is also capable of doing wind damage and is even able to resist brainwashing. It is also capable of resisting ice magic, but like Cait Sith, it is weak to wind.
5 Silky
Silky's are female fairies that tend to hang around the Scotland region, specifically around the borders. All that is really known about them is that they like to terrorize servants who are often lazy at their work. As a member of the Priestess arcana and is around level 6 when encountered, Silky likes to play as a healing and status ailment persona. Although as a result of that, it has two major weaknesses, which is to fire and electricity.
4 Succubus
Similar to the incubus, Succubus's are creatures that like to seduce men. By seducing them and drawing out their stamina, they are capable of dragging them down to the point of death. As such it is only fair that their Persona 5 Royal counterpart would be similar to that. With many of their moves being around brainwashing, status effects and decent damage, they are a strong persona to have initially. Especially as they are level 7. Succubus also blocks curse and can resist fire. However, they are weak to gun and bless moves.
3 Angel
Angels are celestial beings that are often found in a variety of different religions and mythology. More often than not, they like to give blessed advice to mortals and they tend to like protecting all of creation. As such it is only fair that the Persona 5 Royal version of the creature primarily focuses on bless attacks and can do healing. Although it is weak to gun and curse, a move that Angel can possibly get is the chance to dodge curse. Although that will require training for the Angel to have.
2 Berith
One of the many spirits within the Goetia. Berith is a powerful duke of hell that is capable of leading a vast army of demons under his command. The persona is also the type to always tell truths when asked, but when not it will always speak of lies.
Within Persona 5 Royal, it is a powerful Persona of level 9, with plenty of powerful physical attacks. The persona is also capable of adding defensive buffs to its allies and is resistant to fire and blocks gun. However, it has a debilitating weakness to ice.
1 Archangel
Finally, there is Archangel. Also, the strongest Persona to be possibly attained on Kamoshida's palace at level 14. As Eligor is only a boss in the palace and doesn't appear as a shadow till later in the game. Initially a mid-boss, players will eventually be able to face it again as a strong shadow. Archangels are known as messengers of God.
It has strong bless skills as well as psi skills. What's more, it is capable of inflicting medium blast damage to all enemies thanks to its Vajra blast. However, the disadvantage it has is that it is weak to electricity and curse.
