Sea of Thieves Update Introduces Black Market, Vaults of the Ancients, and Dogs
Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer pirate game where friends can set sail for adventure on the high seas together. Recently, the pirate video game received an update that introduces a lot of new interesting content to the game that was revealed to be coming back in August.
While Sea of Thieves has been popular among gamers for a while, the developer Rare continues to spice up the sea fairing game by adding new updates to the game. During the opening night of Gamescom, this update was hinted at for the game, but now players are finally free to experience the Vault of the Ancients for themselves.
In this latest update, players are able to accept a new quest from the Gold Hoarders, who are worried that skeletons might be able to break into their secret vaults. Sea of Thieves players will be able to sail around the world to gather pieces of the map to the vault and find the special key. After they've discovered these items, players can either return them to the Gold Hoarders for a reward or plunder the vault for themselves. If players choose to venture into the Vault of the Ancients, they will encounter a variety of traps meant to keep thieves away.
Along with the vault quest, players will be able to take on a mission from Larinna, the leader of the Bilge Rats, due to Duke's "recent run of bad luck." With the Black Market deals she can offer, Rare says that the player will be very busy during the upcoming months. As well as these different missions, Sea of Thieves added dogs to the game as well, and while the furry canines are bringing their joy to the pirate-filled land, the players are warned that they may need to swab the deck a bit more often due the accidents the pups may have on the ship during adventures.
There are other small updates in the game as well. Rare also included new emotes in the Sea of Thieves update, like the free dancing dog emote so players can prance with their puppies. With all this new content added to the game, players will have some interesting opportunities at different adventures as they sail the seven seas and collect treasure to add to their name. These enterprises will give players some exciting exploration while they wait to see what else Rare will have in store for the game's future.
Sea of Thieves is out now on PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox One.
