Warzone Player's Incredibly Rare Drop Ends in Heartbreak
Over the course of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, several updates to the game have been implemented. From the addition of Juggernaut crates to the removal of vehicles for a short time, the game continues to go through changes. With how often Warzone continues to change, fans can sometimes miss information about new powerups and drops that are being added to the game.
That is part of what makes finding a rare token so exciting for one Reddit fan. Although the powerful token has been in the game for some time, many fans are still unaware of its existence. This is mostly due to it being a small detail in a flood of new Season 5 content and the fact that it does not appear that often.
In the video posted by Kojari on Reddit, they quickly speed to open up the blue keycard room in Stadium. Inside are several legendary loot boxes, along with a special token that reads "Specialist Bonus." This token was added back during the Juggernaught pack and gives fan one small advantage to their battle royale experience: it grants a player all the Perks. As they wait to show their friend the token, they begin to loot the crates inside the room gathering up supplies. During the spree of looting, the token vanishes without a trace, with only the video as evidence of its existence.
The token acts as an upgrade for the remainder of the player's life. If a player collects it, they can receive all perks in all slots, as if they were in a Multiplayer mode, with multiple perks active despite the normal 3-perk limit. Back when the token first appeared, it was known that collecting a loadout drop would override the perks, replacing it with the standard 3 in the player's preferred loadout.
Tokens like this are super rare, and only appear once every few games. With players not always opening all the rooms, there is no telling how many times they have spawned to never be collected. In addition to the Specialist token, there has also been a rumored gulag token which would grant players a free redeploy.
Still, to find a token like this is a rare occurence. For many fans, the fact that Koijari caught it on video is great, as it serves as proof that the tokens are still spawning despite the removal of Juggernaut crates.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
