Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Will Allow Personal Loadouts
A ton of new information has been shared regarding the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies game mode. One of the best features to come to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is the early announcement of allowing personal loadouts upon entry.
Gone are the days of starting with a pistol as players are opened to a new option that allows them to bring their multiplayer gear into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. As a brand new announcement from Treyarch outlines, the player's weapon builds will be allowed, but there is a slight catch involved in the process.
While players will be able to bring personal loadouts into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies, the weapons will not be as strong as expected. Due to a new weapon rarity system, players will find that the guns are merely common tier, which is the lowest found in the game mode. While on the bright side players no longer start with a simple pistol, the kitted out assault rifle may not be that much of an improvement. Scattered across the map are weapons that can be purchased off the wall; these will come with varying attachments and start at an uncommon rarity level.
There are other advantages to having a personal loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombie mode than simply a better gun, as it comes with a more in-depth feel. Do note that creating a custom Zombies loadout will have its own limitations. Players will be restricted to only equipping one Field Upgrade and a single weapon. The weapon can have all its attachments and cosmetics, but will remain at the Common level.
Still, bringing in personalized weapons and cosmetics into the Zombies game mode does allow for a better experience. Players start the round with more options than normal, and the first few rounds could be a lot more fun than they used to be. Still, nothing is stopping fans from equipping the classic 1911 pistol and running the game as if nothing has changed.
Still, players can upgrade the rarity of a weapon loadout later in the game. Keeping a personalized gun may have an advantage if players can survive to higher rounds. There is still a lot that is unknown about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's upcoming Zombies mode, but at least now players are getting a clearer image of what will be possible.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
