Destiny 2 Glitch Lets Players Open Garden of Salvation Raid Chest Solo
As the Beyond Light expansion release nears, many Destiny 2 players are putting the finishing touches on their preparation for the new content. From collecting gear to hoarding resources, there is a lot that can be done to prep for a new DLC's launch, but some of those tasks can only be done with a fireteam. Grabbing raid gear for Beyond Light, for example, typically requires 6 players, but thanks to a glitch, anyone can nab themselves one piece of gear per week with minimal effort.
The Destiny 2 raid gear glitch has been shared by numerous players in the community and for some, it is old news. However, those who might be just now thinking about collecting some gear that will not sunset at Beyond Light's launch will want to utilize it regardless.
The glitch itself is fairly simple; any player loads into the Garden of Salvation raid and heads towards the first encounter. Rather than activating it, run past the sleeping Hydra, and ascend the sloped wall on the left. After getting enough height on a specific ledge, players should then face the other side of the wall and equip a sword.
Getting across this gap requires some finesse depending on which Destiny 2 class a player is using. Hunters have it the hardest since their jump is so limited, but the Nightstalker subclass with Quiver as well as the St0mp-EE5 exotic boots will make things a little easier. Spread each jump out with a sword swipe and then once near the far ledge, fire off the Nightstalker bow as many times as possible to go the final distance.
Warlocks can cross this gap the easiest thanks to the top tree Dawnblade subclass' mobility. First consume a grenade to gain the Heat Rises buff, then trigger the Dawnblade, and float across while peppering some Icarus Dashes in to gain momentum.
Titans should be able to make the jump using Catapult and wearing the Lion Rampant exotic boots. Jump across the ledge and then carefully alternate between a sword swipe and another jump until you cross the gap. It may take some timing, but this alternating between sword swipes and jumps allows players to cross very far distances and is useful for grabbing The Last Wish raid chests solo.
After clearing the gap, running along the platform that usually has a bunch of Vex Cyclops but don't drop down past the tree. Instead, jump up the right side of the wall, shimmy across, and then force your way over the top of the left side. Within this halfpipe, get a little deep and then use any weapon to explode yourself.
If done correctly, then players should spawn in the next transition area of the Garden of Salvation raid, which has a chest to open. Players can open this chest once per week per character and it will give them a piece of raid loot. It's important to point out that loot from raid chests is not Powerful or Pinnacle level gear, so it will not help players level up. However, this gear is useful because it can have high stat rolls and it is not getting sunset at the launch of Beyond Light. Garden of Salvation raid gear has a power level hard cap of 1360, which will be the power level cap a year from now.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
