Fire Emblem Heroes Adding Three Houses' Church of Seiros Characters
Mobile gacha game Fire Emblem Heroes will be receiving a new batch of new characters from 2019’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses next week.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses released on the Nintendo Switch and introduced protagonist Byleth, who went on to become a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, though only the male version of Byleth will be receiving an Amiibo. Byleth is already playable in Fire Emblem Heroes, but fans of the Switch game may be excited by these new additions.
The four new characters coming to Fire Emblem Heroes are Catherine, Shamir, Flayn, and Seteth. All four are members of the Church of Seiros from Three Houses, but Catherine and Shamir are also knights within the religious order.
Catherine is known for her Thunderbrand weapon, and will be a sword-wielding infantry unit. Players could find Catherine as an instructor at the academy in Three Houses, where she offered sword and brawling lessons. She is voiced by Laura Post and is drawn by PenekoR.
Shamir is an infantry archer with a voice that fans might recognize from another Nintendo gacha game, as voice actress Allegra Clark also played champion Cynthia in Pokemon Masters. Shamir specialized in teaching lances and bows at the academy, and in Heroes she is drawn by Maeshima Shigeki.
Flayn is a healing flier unit voiced by Marie Gregory and drawn by Kousei Horiguchi. She is the younger sister of Seteth, a spear-wielding flier voiced by Mark P. Whitten with artwork by Okuma Yugo. He also is an instructor at the academy, specializing in lances and authority.
These four characters will be available between October 19 and November 5. The coinciding update will also include a new story chapter, called “Triandra’s Dream.” There's no word on which characters will be coming to Heroes after that, but hopefully some missing fan-favorite characters like Frey and Fernand aren’t far behind.
Fire Emblem Heroes is available now on Android and iOS devices.
