Fortnite Creative codes

We have a lot of cool Fortnite Creative codes lined up for you. Not sure what we mean? Well, Lego is for the rich. When you're trying to build big, the dollar-to-brick ratio is out of this world with physical blocks, so we must turn to Fortnite to make blocky models of the Millennium Falcon for free.

Fortnite's Creative mode isn't just some cheap Minecraft knock-off, either. With new biomes, structures, creative tools, and Fortnite island codes releasing every few days, Creative isn't just a diverse bucket of blocks—it's a block-filled sandbox with endless hours of potential fun.

Plenty of talented creators have earned Epic's blessing to have their creations shared and played by anyone, so long as you know the Fortnite Creative code required to head to their islands. We've sifted through the growing collection of cool stuff for easy reference here, so keep tabs on this page for regular updates. Here are our current favorites. Don't forget we also have our favorite Fortnite horror map codes for the Halloween season.

If you're unfamiliar with how to load an island, head into Fortnite Creative, walk up to a featured rift, and hold down the 'Use' key to bring up the code menu. Pop it in, let the island load, then walk into the rift to begin.

X-Run by X-Labo - 8660-5683-2097

fortnite creative codes

Normally I'd throw a deathrun on our dedicated deathrun code list, but this map from the incredible X-Labo group is so artistically fascinating (and a genuine thrill to play) that it has to go on our overall creative code list. The cyberpunk metropolis aesthetic is perfect for X-Labo's sense of design, with flying ships perched mid-air, towering skyscrapers surrounding you on all sides, and some genuinely inventive deathrun loops that will certainly frustrate you, but never unfairly. Stick around for the neat credits sequence at the end.

Trick or Treat Royale 2 - 9247-2717-7806

fortnite creative codes

Players drop into a cozy little suburb rife with Halloween decorations, then ring on all the doorbells to get weapons before a timer runs out. Once the clock hits zero, it's deathmatch time, with random houses occasionally giving our increasingly rare weapons. There's a creepy corn maze, a cul-de-sac, and even the snobbish mansion on the hill that's gone way too far on the yard.

The Pit Zone Wars - 2534-1301-2113

fortnite creative codes

Leave it to a battle royale game to make combat arenas that look like they're right out of... Battle Royale, or Hunger Games for the YA crowd. This tightly designed circle pit starts every contender at the edge of the circle, with launch pads further in and a tranquil pond at the center. Spy the tower in the center for some opportunities to snipe.

Werewolf's Manor Prop Hunt - 6384-7950-7690

fortnite creative codes

Your classic prop hunt experience in a densely detailed haunted manor with plenty of corners to cower in. No one will blame you if you shoot at the giant spider props just to be safe.

U.A.E. Traitor-Free Space Initiative (AKA Among Us) - 1346-8877-7603

Another installment in Among Us-inspired maps, you'll work with other players to sus out who is the "mimic." There's all the usual Among Us tropes, including a simple map and vents for the imposter to crawl through.

Mystic Mayhem Royale - 0980-2695-9956

fortnite creative codes

A branded partnership between Fortnite and Samsung, this mini-battle royale map mixes Wild West aesthetic with little touches of modernism for a fun blend of POIs. I enjoyed how deep the map goes, often into small crevices and canyons, resulting in sudden, tense fights at heights (or depths) the main battle royale map doesn't often present. As of October 9, 2020, the map is in the featured matchmaking area, so you can play with randos, but the code above can be used after that cycles out.

Freaky Flights V2 - 4839-4130-3813

fortnite creative codes

If you miss Fortnite's planes as much as I do, this new mode will fill that propeller-shaped void in your heart. Two teams face off across two war ships filled with flyable planes, legendary weapons, and turrets. If for some reason you need to bail on your plane, there's a couple dozen cargo containers floating in the water to let you exact some vengeance on your aerial archnemeses.

Marco Polo in Venice: Hide and Seek - 6263-5818-8225

fortnite creative code

A fun hide and seek map with a clever twist. One player acts as Marco Polo/the hider, while other players search every nook and cranny for them. Every minute, the Marco player emotes to give players a hint as to where they're at. The map itself is dense and fun to explore, with countless little areas to comb through.

Mystic Mayhem - 9166-4301-5194

fortnite creative codes

OK, so this map is techically a paid promotion from Samsung, but it's a solid adventure and you get to shoot robots, so it's a win in my book. You get sucked into your phone, where a bunch of malevolent AI...things have corrupted the whole works. You'll need to solve puzzles and explore a green neon world to set things right.

Rocketnite: Downtown Shuffle - 5874-7417-0559

fortnite creative codes

You knew this one was coming. Ever since Rocket League and Fortnite teamed up for a crossover event, of course someone would combine the two in creative mode. You race around on Fortnite's ATVs, doing that familiar Rocket League thing of trying to score goals, and while you can't ride the walls, the arena is absolutely saturated with bright neon lights, so it feels like home.

Storm Simulator One-Shot - 1621-7413-2076

fortnite creative codes

Swirl around a giant tornado right out of the Wizard of Oz, all while grappling and shooting your way to victory. Try landing on a giant bed or radio tower to get some solid footing, or 360-no-scope your enemy into oblivion while flying through the air.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque - 0796-9126-3250

fortnite creative codes

The largest mosque in all of the United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque is a central place of worship for countless Muslims since the early 2000s, with construction starting in 1996. This Fortnite recreation does an admirable job of mimicking the grand architecture and scale of the whole thing. A setting sun in the background lends an air of holy serenity to the atmosphere, making it one of the most impressive and culturally relevant artistic creations in Fortnite I've ever seen.

BTS' Dynamite world - 0272-4337-3889

fortnite creative codes

If you missed it, BTS is debuting their new music video for their single "Dynamite" in Fortnite's Party Royale mode. If you can't wait to watch it, here's a recreation of their original video's Hollywood-esque city, complete with a giant BTS sign in the hills and a Dynamite sign on the side of a building. I'm looking forward to the inevitable music video made with nothing but dance emotes.

Nvidia's ray tracing treasure hunt - 9189-0518-5408

fortnite creative codes

As of September 2020, Fortnite officially has ray tracing capabilities, assuming your PC can handle it. Epic has created an official map designed to show off all those RTX abilities, including improved reflections and shadows, real-time global illumination, , and ambient occlusion. Godspeed, sweet GPUs.

Halloween Town FFA - 5796-1293-8263

fortnite creative codes

The only thing better than a town that embraces a spooky Halloween aesthetic is one that lets you blow it all up with pumpkin RPGs. This FFA map features accelerated running speed and a ridiculous amount of bouncy objects to launch yourself off of, making for some quick and killer fun.

Fortnite Kart - 7340-1511-8471

fortnite creative codes

KingYoshi, the creator of that cool Ninja Warrior deathrun, has recreated Royal Raceway from Mario Kart. Even better, if you have enough players, you can throw items from the back of your golf cart like Double Dash. Peep Peach's castle for a little Easter egg, too.

Endless Dunes - 0433-5352-8915

fortnite creative codes

A zone wars map set in a rolling desert marked by the ruins of an ancient structure, it's a simple map but a visually striking one, and lord knows I love to look at cool stuff while I destroy friendships.

Super Mario Sunshine's Delfino Plaza - 6892-7135-6628

fortnite creative codes

Whether you think Super Mario Sunshine is underrated or the worst Mario game ever (what's it like to be so wrong?), no one can deny the beauty of Delfino Plaza. This hub area served as Mario's base of operations while washing the gunk out of Isle Delfino, and this map sports a number of the same shortcuts and easter eggs you may remember from the actual game, so it's a fun little tropical adventure.

Among Us: Polus - 0388-9523-9891

The popular multiplayer survival gem finally has its own Fortnite clone. A group of players all attempt to complete a number of objectives set on a moon base, but at least one player is actually an imposter looking to kill everyone as stealthily as possible. Creator TheBoyDilly has done a commendable job translating all the various features of Among Us to Fortnite, including a live camera system that helps you uncover the murderous pretender, and a vent system to let the imposter get around faster.

AMD's Battle Arena (by MakaMakes) - 8651-9841-1639

Another creation from the king of Fortnite creative mode, MakaMakes, this sponsored arena comes courtesy of AMD, the GPU and CPU makers. It's got a great Tron vibe to it, with the white and orange neon lights contrasting with one another. It's fun to turn a corner and have a moment of confusion when your brain can't process how far down that next jump goes. The code above takes you to a matchmaking hub with a FFA mode, CTF, and one other mode available.

The Creekwood Tracks - 0043-5459-2704

fortnite creative codes

I've seen a lot of horror stories told through Fortnite, and only a very select few that I could consider good. The Creekwood Tracks does everything it needs to and then some to land in the latter category. You're searching for your sister who seems to have gone missing deep in the woods, only to unravel something much bigger than the two of you. The minigame itself is tightly designed, so you'll rarely wonder where the heck you need to go next (a very common problem in Fortnite stories), there's a few genuinely creepy bits, and it's over in about 20 minutes. That's a win in my book.

MakaMakes' Avengers Base

fortnite creative codes maka makes avengers base

MakaMakes is basically the God of Fortnite creative mode, and he (along with some friends) managed to build the MCU Avengers base in just four hours. You've got the facade of the primary building, the long driveway, and even a helipad with one of those Quinjets. Fans of Fortnite season 4 will no doubt want to bounce around the place in their Iron Man skins.

Map code (Snipers VS Runners): 0324-8825-2719
Map code (Exploration): 4430-9314-0042

Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky - 0130-7403-6429

fortnite creative codes castle in the sky

From Mustard Plays, a well-known YouTuber, this recreation of Laputa (otherwise known as the titular "Castle in the Sky" from the Hayao Miyazaki movie) is one part puzzle adventure and one part solid storytelling. You're basically climbing your way through the guts of the castle before encountering the idle robot guardians, culminating in a fairly cool cinematic moment. If you're curious what kinds of storytelling tricks Fortnite creative mode is capable of, this is a great example. I wouldn't call it a 1:1 recreation of everything we see in the movie, but it's definitely a great achievement.

Losh's Sniper Stronghold One-Shot CTF - 0873-1343-4103

fortnite creative codes ctf

A giant castle looms over a tattered courtyard, and a lone flag sits waiting to be captured in the belly of a castle. Only problem is you'll need to avoid the sniper fire, or do the firing yourself. Low gravity and great sightlines make for a tense sniper duel.

Goldyisus' mini-battle royale - 8325-5510-3277

fortnite creative codes battle royale

The big Fortnite creative dreamers often go for their own battle royale maps. Is it as great as Epic's own creation? Of course not, but this mini-BR map features a ton of fun locations that should make for similarly fun clashes.

Fall Guys Fortnite (but better) - 3958-4574-1075

fortnite creative codes fall guys

OK so there's already been at least one Fall Guys/Fortnite map, but I think I ended up preferring this one. It's only got the three most popular games (Slime Climb, Door Dash, and Hex-a-Gone), but it recreates them pretty seamlessly within Fortnite's creative mode toolset. Most importantly, very little of the map feels unnecessarily janky, which is important in a game where little mistakes mean your doom.

Modern Warfare Shipment - 4804-9489-3873

fortnite creative codes

You know it, you love/hate it. The incredibly tiny multiplayer map from Call of Duty has been recreated with a decent amount of accuracy in Fortnite. The only thing it's really missing is the ability to climb to the top of that one set of cargo containers, and the open door on the second-floor container in the opposite corner. Still, I'm sure it'll be good for some lightning-fast TDMs.

Fortnite Fall Guys - 5361-9496-2479

Fortnite whomst? Mediatonic's bumble royale game is all the rage now, and not even Fortnite can escape from that fact with this Fortnite Fall Guys map. So of course someone went and made a bright and colorful mini-game collection that apes the best of Fall Guys own assortment of merciless death races, and aside from a couple agonizing design decisions (I hate those electric coils that bounce you around), it's a solid effort.

Prop Racers - 8615-5534-1052

fortnite creative code

Another racing mini-game, with one very big difference. Instead of karts or foot racing, you get turned into a random prop and zip around one of three neat tracks, like a sunny beach, a busy city street, or a dark mine. If you've ever wondered how much ass a toilet can haul, here's how you'll find out.

Pocket Racers: Modern House - 3683-4531-3616

fortnite creative codes

Some of the best go-kart tracks in Fortnite creative mode are the ones where you're shrunk down and racing among the weeds and lawn critters. This modern house track has it all: A little pond to jump over, a muscle car to drive under, a whole bunch of hidden routes that only observant drivers will notice, and much more.

Mystic Mansion - 9872-3680-6180

One part Haunted Mansion, other part Mario Party, this fusion is a surprisingly engaging party game for friends (and even strangers) to play together. Thankfully, you don't have to rely on an honor system when it comes to dice rolls. The creators made it so you can only move as many spots as you've earned. The mini-game variety is solid too, with parkour puzzles, kart racing, and a weird pinball obstacle courses, plus seven other challenges.

The house from Parasite - 4221-6398-3543

fortnite creative codes

Parasite, AKA the winner of the 2020 Oscar Best Picture and a fascinating tale of class conflict and economic inequality, is amazing. Besides the tense and darkly comedic storytelling, its setting is equally compelling, winning a production design Oscar as well. Reddit user Xpertranger65 built a surprisingly similar version of the wealthy Park family's house, including areas I won't spoil for folks who haven't seen the movie yet. Everything you'd recognize, like the wide open yard, pristine kitchen, and the children's bedrooms are here.

One Shot Switch: Trickshot Arena - 1001-7293-0182

fortnite creative codes

Box fights are lame, but arena fights with this much neon glow are hard to hate. With lots of low gravity, jump pads, and a wall of pulsing soundwaves, this one-shot arena is simple and sweet in all the perfect synth wavey ways.

Color Switch v2 - 0387-1152-4745

It's more color switching, but with fun new updated maps, including Tilted Towers, a Japanese garden, and a Toy Story-esque play room.

Gun Game: Valley of Doom - 0434-7168-5507

If you love big, impressive backdrops to all your shooting, the Valley of Doom is a solid choice. Giant robots fighting weird earth monsters are frozen in time, surrounded by attack helicopters. The map itself is a solid roundabout of spawn points, providing a few great vantage points to fight over, but certainly never ensuring total safety.

Modern Warfare 2 Terminal - 4340-5772-0250

Modern Warfare 2 still stands as one of COD's strongest entries, whatever mode you're playing, and now you can play on one of its most infamous maps. This gun game map does a fairly decent job of recreating the airport map, which is also where the villain Makarov slaughtered countless civilians and manager to frame the American government.

Paradise Highway Prop Hunt - 8782-6603-2109

It's the consistently fun prop hunt formula applied to a busy stretch of desert highway, with two whole gas stations and a restaurant. There's plenty of corners to hide in and plenty of props big and small to transform into, including dinosaurs. Look, I know those Nevada highways are rough, but they're not that bad.

Fort Light Gun Game - 8794-7565-5834

This is a pretty ramshackle gun game map, with lots of debris laying around, but I found it enjoyable in the way that dense, messy maps often are. There's plenty of corners to hide in, high vantage points to climb to, and even a couple of portals for quick getaways.

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela - 6359-5458-5318

fortnite creative codes

The great Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela was primarily built between 1075 and 1100, before extending far into the 12th century. It's known as one of the most important holy institutions in Spain, serving as the end of a long pilgrimage route, and is the resting place of Saint James the Great, the apostle of Jesus. This Fortnite map is, uh, not as historically significant, but certainly still impressive. The exterior is a remarkably accurate recreation, while the interior manages to get most of the major details right. I'm not sure if Jesus appreciates his place of worship being turned into a zone wars map, but hey, considering it was once burnt down during a war, you could do worse.

Illusion Hotel: Gun Game - 4849-7779-3845

fortnite creative codes

A tight, mind-bendingly designed gun game map set in an ornate hotel full of upside down rooms, weird endless hallways, and a swimming pool that seems to rip the fabric of reality.

Dollhouse Snipers vs. Runners - 2301-1112-2208

fortnite creative codes

The familiar snipers vs. runners formula gets slapped onto a young child's dollhouse, and the creator has done a solid job of replicating that bit of plastic nostalgia. The front yard features a pink RV and car and a swimming pool, while the upper floors feature all the usual furnishings that Barbie (or poor millennials) dream of.

Titans - 9464-5951-7419

fortnite creative codes

Choose from 16 loadouts based on different character types and battle friends in this free-for-all mode. What's fun about this map is each character's diverse weapon and item set. Be the sniper peering from the top of the tower, or a B.R.U.T.E. mech driver, or the wielder of a giant sword. It's the closest you'll see Fortnite be to a character-based shooter like Overwatch or Valorant. Only shame is that the map isn't terribly interesting, which is probably a design decision to make the mode more balanced for everyone.

Tidal Wave Prop Hunt - 8312-0054-3731

A prop hunt game where the props can actually fight back a bit. On this lush series of  islands, the props can collect coins, which triggers a tidal wave (really a giant blue wall) that sweeps the hunters.

World War Deathmatch - 0324-4789-8618

I love me some good old fashion trench warfare. That's exactly what you get on this map, which lets 4-16 players fight to get to 30 eliminations. Thankfully, you can choose a weapons class, including assault, medic, support, and my personal favorite, recon. What I love about the level itself is that it's the classic game of popping your head out to take potshots at enemies, or staying hunkered down and taking the measured approach.

Spy Tycoon - 4730-5857-9174

You know, Fortnite Creative mode occasionally shocks me with how brilliant it is. Sometimes that's because somebody recreates a Star Wars star destroyer. Other times, it's because someone creates an entire Tycoon multiplayer game with dozens of mechanics interacting to create a genuinely coherent game-within-a-game.

Spy Tycoon lets you and three other friends compete to reach a goal of 50 points and become the top spy. You do this by collecting gold, stealing other players' llama, and upgrading your own spy agency with a number of resources. You start with a very slow drip, but before long, you can unlock another floor of your agency to get access to legendary weapons, a lab, and kitchen. It's a lot to digest at first, but I've seen it spark some tense competition between friends.

MakaMakes' Mini BR Solo City - 8566-1472-7195

MakaMakes is still the undisputed champion of Fortnite Creative maps. You may remember his recreations of a Star Wars star destroyer, a full-sized airport, and even an Avengers helicarrier.  He's finally sunk his teeth into a proper battle royale map; an island city complete with a solar farm, a helicopter airport (heliport?), and a dense downtown, and it's all destructible. Don't pass on this one.

Goldeneye Temple - 4396-1463-7998

You know it. You love (or hate) it. The classic N64 Goldeneye multiplayer level is back in Fortnite. It's admittedly a very basic level design, as you might expect from a 23-year-old game, but it's charming and solid for shooting your friends. Check out the moon room where the light shines down through the opening in the roof.

Bamboo Forest Gun Game - 2521-2490-2406

A densely packed bamboo forest (with great attention to minor details, like pond lillies and decorated pagoda houses) provides a great backdrop to tense gun game rounds with your friend. In between the shooting, you can skip a weapon at the local blacksmith's forge, but you'll have to expose yourself to do so.

Golden Gate Bridge Zone Rush - 9312-1947-3701

A good chunk of the PC Gamer crew lives in the bay area, so call us biased, but this take on the Golden Gate bridge as a zone push map works in all the ways you'd want it to. Long sight lines down each car-filled lane provides for tense firefights.

Tumble Tropics - 9277-1484-9084

A fun custom battle royale map set on a series of small islands, each with a few interesting areas to dig around for loot in. It won't revolutionize the way you play, but I always appreciate a map that's been designed with care.

Arena Box Fights - 9650-7226-8979

You all normally hate Box Fights, but this one I made is pretty unique! [9650-7226-8979] from r/FortniteCreative

Normally, we don't care one wit about box fights in Fortnite's creative mode. They're...fine. But Reddit user THCommandBlocks has managed to make a multiplayer competitive arena mode for box fights, and actually make it pretty interesting. The video does a great job of explaining how it works, and how it crowns the eventual champion, and the transparent boxes you're fighting in provide for great spectator viewing.

Grapplerman - 0787-5770-1561

Grappler gun minigames are a dime a dozen, but this simple custom mode turns you and up to 8 players into a bunch of New York Spider-Men, flinging yourselves around towering skyscrapers and racing to collect a llama and bring it back to a base. It's good old fashioned fun, and probably the closest we'll get to a Spider-Man collaboration for some time.

The Vault - Gunfight - 6463-5005-6823

A very fun gunfight map for 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 players set in, you guessed it, a bank that's been broken into very recently. Some shattered walls allow for fun flanking maneuvers, while a deep central pit encourages you to get up close and put the pressure on the opposing team. Creator Natsuu20 has also added in a seemingly random power up every once in a while, making things extra interesting.

Grid Run - 0880-7742-8581

It's Tron's lightcycles, but with Fortnite's hoverboards! As you hover along, the ground you cross over will blink out of existence, forcing enemies to either jump over or dodge your tracks altogether.

Aqua Drift Race - 4484-4147-7979

This is a really fun race track for bashing your friends into obstacles and knocking them into pits of water. It's also just really beautiful, with plenty of coastal props and whitewashed architecture, which doesn't hurt.

The Crater FFA

A small, fun free-for-all map with plenty of low-gravity jumping and corners to hide in. Players start out in the base and quickly make their way out to the crater itself, which houses a giant rocket, a greenhouse, a solar farm and more.

The Mall is Closing Hide and Seek - 3227-8700-3877

A great hide and seek map that's filled with dark corners and all the familiar trappings of your childhood mall, like an arcade, a salon, and the "Pizza Pit," which is also what I call my bedroom. Apparently creator ingamecarnageig took some inspiration from the Stranger Things mall.

MakaMakes's Oasis - 3990-0084-4116

MakaMakes is responsible for some of the best Fortnite creative maps out there, including that Minas Tirith map in our best codes list at the top of the page. We dug through his older creations and found this sleek, beautiful combat arena with hovering platforms, towering skyscrapers, and plenty of places to shoot and get shot at.

Elysium City - 7012-4442-2175

A short but sweet artistic creation from DumbblondTwitch. It's like you mixed BioShock's Rapture with a little sprinkle of Gotham, and Blond has built two ways of viewing the city's beauty: A skyline view and a ground level area to explore.

Bikini Bottom Gun Game - 3300-7669-9591

fortnite creative code bikini bottom gun game map

With the Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom getting, uh, mixed reviews, why not give this new gun game map a try? Creator DumbblondTwitch did a remarkably detailed job of recreating the streets of downtown Bikini Bottom and its outlying 'burbs. You'll find the usual haunts, including Spongebob's street, Sandy's glass dome, the Krusty Krab, and even Barg'N-Mart and the Bikini Bottom prison.

As a gun game map, it's fun to fluctuate between different modifiers, like low gravity, and bounce around the area like an angry lasso-wielding squirrel. Also, I have to mention the fact that players start out on an island above the waterline before dropping down into the water, a smart and funny reference to the show's opening.

Inception Zone Wars - 1012-0492-6062

This Inception zone wars map features a fun design to climb and grapple gun your way around, but adds a vertical zone wall that moves up and down to the mix, meaning you'll be force to think in three dimensions.

Escape Llama Labs - 8834-8848-1219

If you like Portal's stark, darkly humorous brain benders, then this puzzle map is a solid pick, forcing you to learn an increasingly long list of physics tricks to get crystal llamas from one location to another.

Galaxy Flint Wars - 6064-0690-4416

fortnite creative codes

This map is filled with rockets, asteroids, and spacey buildings to shoot and swing your way around in low-gravity. The first player to 20 kills wins, but you'll have plenty of fun careening from one end of the map to the other with the flint pistol and plunger grappling gun. It's honestly a little challenging at first until you acclimate to what the creator is going for, meaning you'll fall to your death before you become a true zero-G death machine.

Trials of Zaneth - 9078-3524-9057

fortnite creative codes

You wake up in a crashed plane and find yourself in a magical land of Zaneth, where a whole bunch of trials and puzzles await you as you try to restore some peace to the land. It all feels very Zelda-ish, with its reliance on acquiring magical items to help you proceed over obstacles, but it's pretty charming nonetheless.

First-Person B.R.U.T.E. Mech Brawl - 0102-4579-4625

fortnite creative codes

Using some janky Creative Mode trickery, Reddit user r1ch1mpulse managed to get a POV camera from the perspective of Fortnite's bulky, heavily damaging mech. As you might imagine, this mode is more fun with four players so you can use the mech's full weapon suite, but it's cool to get a little Gundam in your Fortnite.

Time Twist - Gun Game - 5918-7034-6151

Though it isn't the first map to do the "one map, two versions" take, this map does it really smartly with warp portals you can trigger at any point. It creates some fun scenarios where you might try to dodge an enemy's fire by warping from an idyllic farm to a crumbling cluster of asteroids.

Reflection - 7586-8316-2838

M.C. Escher was an artist famous for his intricately designed woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints, most notably those crazy images of infinite staircases. Well, what if that, but with guns? This free-for-all map lets you pick your loadout, then run through a seemingly (although not literally) series of Escher staircases. It makes for some interesting gunfights when you're not quite sure which way is which.

Artistic Ruins - 7362-4871-6728

There's a lot of Fortnite creative mode users going around creating some fantastic artistic displays. No need for guns, or mechs, just simple visual beauty. Unfortunately, a lot of those don't have codes to share, but this one does! This gorgeous set of ancient ruins nestled in a waterlogged cave brings to mind the Uncharted or Tomb Raider series, but with that usual Fortnite flair.

Hide & Seek: The Invisible Man - 8112-0478-9776

I've yet to see the modern Invisible Man film, which I hear is great, but this hide and seek map definitely goes for the classic black and white horror vibe. One player turns themselves invisible and is given a harvesting tool and a revolver, while other players try to avoid them by hiding and running throughout a tower that's so oddly built it only adds to the fright.

Raccoon City PD - 9201-6033-0988

This is far from a perfect Fortnite remake of Resident Evil 2's iconic police station, but I still found myself chuckling at finding the right corners or rooms as I explored through the first level. Of course, there are a ton of zombies and puzzles to solve as you go around. Besides some kind of nonsensical checkpointing (that goes well beyond Capcom's punishing style), this one is charming.

Extreme Team Rumble Royale - 2499-5597-2662

fortnite creative codes

It's not the most original map, but for a team rumble match, it doesn't have to be. This huge series of islands is absolutely littered with purple and gold tier loot, a mech, an airplane, and other shenanigans aplenty, making it conducive to the kind of crazy low-gravity map-spanning murder you'd want.

Futuristic Factory - Gun Game - 8443-3453-8209

A really strongly designed gun game map that flows so well it could almost be a skate park. Features lots of speed boost areas that dip right into ramps and paths that help make all those one-shot kills look ten times cooler.

Cybernite - 8179-7650-3099

You knew a Fortnite riff on Cyberpunk 2077 was coming, and this puzzle/item hunt map goes as far as to use that "Personal Responsibility" song from an early Cyberpunk trailer in its own trailer. You're a member of a cyber security outfit, running around a large neon city block, looking for canisters of some kind of virus. There's also a few amusing side areas that involve you "hacking" your way into mainframes and doing cyberpunk stuff.

Talladega Super Speedway (and others)

fortnite creative codes racing

Good Fortnite race tracks are a rare treat, and creator Commander has made not one, not two, but at least nine race tracks based on famous real-world locations like Talladega, Daytona, and Dover. Each track features lots of the real landmarks and layout of the track, and as someone who was dragged to a couple of Indy 500 races as a kid, let me say that Commander has done a bang-up job. You'll race golf carts around each map and need to do a rolling pit stop every 2-3 laps, for that added realism. Now if only you could make it so the noise of every car deafened you.

  • Talladega: 7342-0258-7752
  • Daytona: 9386-3148-2727
  • Dover: 2421-7788-4325
  • Homestead Miami: 2624-1399-9816
  • Phoenix: 2547-9309-3801
  • Martinsville: 2921-2059-3490

Rainbow Six Siege House Map Recreation - 9315-3255-7086

The PC Gamer team absolutely loves Rainbow Six Siege, and this instantly recognizable recreation of the game's House map is more than just a pretty face. I won't say the "completely destructible" claim is totally true, though: I noticed a couple of choice walls that appeared to be locked in place, but otherwise, you can recreate a lot of your favorite breach-and-clear scenarios here.

Even better, you've got a wide variety of operator playstyles and spawn points to choose from, with weapons ranging from auto-shotguns to mini-turrets, and more, which just adds to the longevity of this map. Just like a real match of Siege, one team defends two bomb points while the other makes their assault into the house. An absolute must-play.

Gun Game - Vacant - 3939-0057-1674

A really strong, beautifully designed gun game map that feels like it could be a level from Remedy's Control, non-euclidean architecture and everything. I also love how the surface of everything is so reflective that it's easy to stumble into one of the underground tunnels. Now if only we could levitate...

Loadout Warfare - Poseidon - 0434-3221-0261

This point capture map is surprisingly dense, with plenty of flanking routes for either team to make their assault, and even better, it all looks like the guts of a star destroyer from Star Wars. It all culminates in a plant-the-bomb run in a large open room that's sure to have players clenching their butts to defend the point from all angles. You can choose from a pretty wide variety of loadouts at the beginning of the match, allowing for different playstyles.

This ridiculous castle - 6581-3124-9021

Created by x-Labo AKA Reddit user White-Faracha, this gorgeous castle includes a stunningly symmetrical courtyard with water features, and several levels to explore. It's not reinventing a wheel or anything, it's just making it really pretty to gawk at.

Fantasy Forest: Hide and Seek - 1700-7800-1077

Another great Fortnite Creative creation from Prudiz, play hide and seek with a bunch of friends on this dense, colorful, varied map with different countdown settings. Just steer clear of the lava pools.

Project Starlight - 2987-5337-4997

Project Starlight - 2987-5337-4997

A pretty good five round, 16-player battle royale map with a lot of verticality and plenty of crash pads. If you like your autumnal vibes, this has plenty of it.

The Avengers Helicarrier - 9763-8388-5095

Another creation from the criminally talented MakaMakes (who you may remember from some of our other favorite creative codes, like the Star Wars star destroyer and the full-fized airport further down), this Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is actually a remake of an older design. Maka felt it deserved a second go, and boy did he deliver.  You've got the command room where Tony Stark infamously spotted a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative playing Galaga, Stark and Banner's science lab, and a whole bunch of jets parked on the body of the carrier. Epic, just hire this man already.

The code above is for exploration mode, but Maka made a few other cool modes for players to try.

Super Hero Arena: 8058-5258-8241
Infected: 1302-2476-1496
Hide and Seek: 8297-3692-4422

Fit Through the Wall - 2100-4853-7251

Fit Through the Wall - 2100-4853-7251

Remember those funny Japanese game shows where a person has to contort their body into a specific shape while a giant wall with an identical hole approaches them? This is pretty much that, but with Fortnite's prop transformation gun, which adds a fun twist to the whole game. Do you think that lamp will be short enough to get through, or should you go for the lightpole?

Resident Evil 7 Recreation - 6496-9997-4696

Resident Evil 7 managed to breathe new life into the once stagnant survival horror franchise, and this is a pretty good approximation of the opening chapters, with a few creative liberties. It even includes a big fat Fortnite zombie telling you "welcome to the family, son."

Silhouette Prop Hunt - 5176-4146-5073

Silhouette Prop Hunt - 5176-4146-5073

You remember that game The Unfinished Swan? With it's beautiful mix of black and white coloring mechanics that helped reveal a world you didn't immediately know was there, it was a downright incredible experience. Now apply that to a Fortnite prop hunt, and while it may not emotionally resonate with you on the same level, it'll sure be a good time. Every prop is a black silhouette set against a white or black background (or possibly a white and black tunnel), and it gives you some great opportunities to hide from opponents using nothing more than simple eye trickery.

City MVP Zone Wars - 6045-3254-5072

City MVP Zone Wars - 6045-3254-5072

This is a pretty strong zone wars map, especially if you prefer the hustle and bustle of the city versus the more usual forest and plains environments Fortnite has to offer. It all culminates in the town square under the watchful gaze of Midas. I'm a big fan of the steep slope leading down to the town square, as it reminds me of all those times I've had to hike around San Francisco just to hang out with my PC Gamer boys.

Memory Quiz Chapter 2 - 6422-6721-7141

Another round of the always fun memory quiz mini-game is here, and this one's got quite a few genuine brain stumpers. I don't care if "stumper" isn't a word. I definitely feel dumb enough to use it after playing this.

Egg Hunt X - 2955-0145-0022

One team plays the hunters, sticking to the sidelines, and the other team tries to collect all the eggs from an enclosed park. A fun, colorful diversion if Animal Crossing's obsession with eggs annoys the hell out of you.

Gun Game: Fractured Forest - 4576-0707-8977

A fun gun game map with plenty of green and brown...and red, if you're a good enough shot. It kind of feels like they took Weeping Woods' sense of density, gentle water flows, and cozy cabins and locked it all into a tighter murder arena.

Complete Destruction Royale - 8000-8899-6833

On the battle royale map, Fortnite's level of destructibility was already commendable. Creator Prudiz here thought otherwise, so they went and assembled a street block from nothing but individual bricks, giving this free-for-all environment a level of destructibility heretofore unseen in any traditional Fortnite match. Need a door? Make one. Want some extra cover? Shoot into the ground and descend six feet below - just watch out for the dino teeth. A lot of work clearly went into making this map, and I sincerely doubt you could create an entire island with this level of destructibility without some serious hitching, making it one of the most impressive creations I've seen in some time.

Whack-a-Zombie: Arcade - 0266-6811-8054

A fun collection of mini-games in a well-designed arcade environment. You've got two forms of whack-a-mole-style competition, where players either shoot or melee zombies that shoot up from chutes. It's honestly pretty tough, so you'll probably have a good time trying to beat your friends' scores. Also, they've got pool with mini baller vehicles.

Gunswap by CCruzFight - 7974-4433-3450

A really fun custom mode where your loadout switches every 60 seconds, usually along the lines of all pistols, all rockets, all swords, etc. The video says random maps every round but so far, I've only seen the tranquil forest map and a wild west map. Still, it's ridiculous fun to call in airstrikes on a tiny arena and watch your rig struggle to keep up with all the gunfire and blast effects.

A Damn Star Destroyer - 1653-9066-2637

A Damn Star Destroyer - 1653-9066-2637

Another creation from MakaMakes, an absolute master of the Fortnite Creative craft. Like the title says, this is legitimately an entire Star Destroyer. It's got everything from the bridge where you'd see British character actors sneering about incoming rebel fighters, a couple of hangars full of TIE Fighters and one of those Imperial shuttles the rebellion uses to infiltrate Endor, and even a cafeteria, bathrooms, and stormtrooper quarters. Because what kind of fascist space Nazi army would set out into space without a place to eat and sleep? You really need to explore the outside of the ship to get a true sense of the scale, which you can do by just double-jumping and flying around. Look at the image above. See that little black dot near the front of the ship? That's me! Also worth noting, when you jump into the map, it will look like you're in space. The replay mode (where you can take photos) doesn't show that off, so you'll definitely be getting the full Imperial experience.

The Neighbor Remastered - 1675-1520-8935

Yes, that neighbor. For those not in the know, once upon a time, there was an indie game called Hello Neighbor that was made massively popular by YouTube horror game jockeys, where you had to infiltrate your creepy neighbor's increasingly labyrinthine house to discover his dark secrets. It was perfect for your Markipliers and Jack Septiceyes of the world. Go figure that Fortnite (with its fan base's penchant for jumping puzzles) would mash the two together. There's no actual neighbor to chase you, as far as I've seen, but there are areas that will auto-kill you if you stay in them too long.

Blissful Bunny Prop Hunt - 0766-9634-2298

A bright and colorful prop hunt with a surprisingly wide variety of things to transform into, and plenty of places to do it fairly convincingly, all while a very, very big chungus bunny looms over you. The props players have to hunt for 20 eggs around the map while the hunters try to track them down.

An Entire Dang Airport - 6037-9905-6392

MakaMakes is one of my favorite Fortnite creators. The guy clearly has a knack for laying out a believable space and filling it with enough detail that anyone can go "yup, that is exactly what that would look like in Fortnite." His latest creation, an entire airport complete with two terminals, a runway, a bunch of planes, and tacky restaurants is nothing short of stunning. Revel in the joy of not one, but two Durr Burger restaurants that will definitely charge you $15 for fries, or the interior of a plane, complete with a first class and economy section roped off by a curtain.

MakaMakes details how he made the airport in the video above, and it's genuinely cool to see someone work through the process and explain how they created something with a relatively limited set of tools. Evidently, he had to make the nose of a plane with snowballs from the snowman gallery of items. That's just genius.

The code above is for a free exploration mode with player flight enabled. Try out this other code for a humorous take on airport security: 1854-0566-2178.

10Kill Sniper - 0377-1286-7849

10Kill Sniper - 0377-1286-7849

A smart, fun sniper map that comes with four separate modes: Sniper rifles, bows, rocket launchers, and shotguns. The pleasant tropical, whitewashed stone architecture is punctuated by a bunch of wind jump pads that can launch you vertically or horizontally across a gap. It's not quite Quake, but it's one of Fortnite's closest approximations.

Downtown Dash - 4340-7454-8075

You'd be forgiven for thinking this is some sort of Sonic the Hedgehog movie/Fortnite promotional event. In Downtown Dash, you're sprinting at extra-high speeds to collect the llama and avoid enemy fire. Creator "chasejackman" has done a  great job of placing ramps and architecture around in a way that helps keep things appropriately speedy, and nailing a mid-air killing blow on your target as they sprint around is always fun.

Autumn Zone Wars - 3781-9472-2606

A lovely, scenic autumn landscape for zone war shootouts. The typical palette of fall colors blends really well together, and I appreciate that the streams of water are more decorative, rather than forcing you to swim and expose yourself to enemy fire. Items are super-sized and easily spotted, which helps keep the focus on combat rather than searching for items.

Fortnite Outlast Recreation - 8752-7425-3922

Outlast still stands as one of this gen's best horror games, influencing a new generation of game designers and YouTubers who like to scream. Created by IFrost Origins, this map recreates apparently the entirety of Mount Massive Asylum from the original game, and for a Fortnite creation, it's a solid approximation. You'll likely find yourself remembering "oh yeah, I had to get the keycard to unlock this, to fix this, to turn this thing on" like a nightmarish Zelda game. Oh, and yes, there are invincible enemies that will chase you down, although thankfully checkpoints seem plentiful. There's even one guy who says "little pig."

Overwatch Black Forest Map - Gun Fight - 9546-5724-7030

One of Overwatch's best deathmatch maps gets a Fortnite makeover. You and friends will enter with randomized weapon loadouts and duke it out in a fairly standard Gun Fight match. I really love how well this map translates from game to game. It's got all the right details, like the aging wood of every building, the Omnic robot corpses laying around, and the way the sunlight just bounces off of everything. Perfect for some wanton murder.

The Floor is Lava - 1201-1101-4279

Your favorite childhood game, plus guns. Players all start off in a locked room, and once the timer starts, you've got about five very short seconds to start climbing before the "lava" starts rising. And it moves fast. The whole idea is to be the last one standing, so do you keep climbing or do you pause to take a pot shot at your enemy?

Temple Escape - 8870-7331-1222

It's the Temple Run format—run like crazy, and time your jumps so you don't get stuck in a pit of spikes—and it works beautifully here. Fortnite has long been known for inventive death runs, but there's something more fun about being able to go long distances, thinking you'll go just a little further on this one run, only to flub it somewhere else. I must have played this for 20 straight minutes before giving up.

Mermaids FFA Zone Wars

A lovely, scenic zone wars map that pushes players to cross treacherous stretches of water, and offers a couple of devilishly tight corners to monitor lest you get blown to bits. The whitewashed stone buildings and waterfront really make this a pleasant place to play in. Imagine Mamma Mia, but with guns.

L.O.V.3. Facility Duo Escape Map - 2136-1946-1779

Sure, maybe you've felt trapped in a relationship before, but I bet you've never been trapped in one with super speed or low gravity. This escape map, designed specifically for two players, gives one player extra speed and another player the weakened gravity, forcing the two of you to work together to solve puzzles and get the heck out. It's cheaper than couples therapy.

Counter-Strike's Dust 2 by Team Evolve

Random Teams: 9908-4675-7557
Custom Teams: 8784-9694-5171

Even if you've never played Counter-Strike, you've definitely heard of de_dust2. The most popular CS map known to man has been recreated with striking accuracy by Team Evolve. Scale is a tough thing to really nail in Fortnite, being a third-person game and all, but Evolve has really made those corners feel just as deadly as the original project. Check out their comparison video below.

Miniature Paris - 7593-6430-3199

Created by Reddit user XWARD-GAMING, this miniature version of the city of love is a neat diversion to explore. Scale the Eiffel Tower (via portal, of course), walk along the river Seine, and even visit the Arc de triomphe. The Arc is done pretty dang well for a Fortnite creation, recreating even smaller details like the carved statues of humans on the faces of either arch.

Rainbow Six Siege Yacht Map Bomb Hunt - 2996-9373-3174

You know us. We here at PC Gamer love Rainbow Six Siege. Sometimes too much. This creative map recreates the picturesque Yacht map straight out of the game, and even better, you're tasked with disarming or defending the randomly placed bomb, and you'll get to buy weapons from vending machines with a limited pool of materials.

The 75th Hunger Games Zone Wars - 5880-5365-5857

A really nice zone wars map with random events (just like the actual books/movies), and a mad dash for the cornucopia full of weapons, this tribute to the tributes of Hunger Games feels like it could be good for spurring a few tense standoffs. I guess it only makes sense that the battle royale phenomenon was reflected in the other, admittedly just-as-popular battle royale game.

Epidemic Deathmatch -1866-9576-6645

A great deathmatch map with upper and lower levels. It honestly feels like walking down one of the snowy streets of New York from Ubisoft's The Division, minus the life-threatening disease, just bullets.

FortniteBowl - 2669-4698-3075 (alt codes in description)

A sporting piece of work from YouTuber MakaMakes. This Super Bowl stadium is the perfect fit for anyone looking to throw down for a touchdown or two. It also comes with plenty of alternate modes:

Map code (Exploration): 2588-0476-9968
Map code (Zone Wars): 1843-2510-1807
Map code (Makas Games): 6236-6720-2528
Fortnite Bowl: 2669-4698-3075
Jurassic Run (Cross MG): 6460-7793-2408

Minas Tirith From The Lord of the Rings - 1048-3487-4391

Have you ever wanted to reenact the cavalry charge of Pelennor Fields with an ATV? Did you ever see that scene where Denethor, the dad of Boromir and Faramir, threw himself from the top of the mountain while on fire, and think "I could do that?" Now is your chance.

This recreation of the Gondor capital city, Minas Tirith, is pretty dang astounding, especially when you spawn out on the fields where the hordes of orcs prepared their siege. It even has the throne room where Pippin kickstarted his American Idol career. The only downside is that you can't lay siege to the city with a B.R.U.T.E. mech because the wooden tower it spawns in is indestructible.

Devastation by Shennuk: 1601-4126-5569

If you want a solid stress test for your mid-range PC, the bombed out hellscape that is Devastation might be it. Really, it's nothing more than a good map for free-for-all/TDM/gun game fights, but it's got...a lot going on in terms of particle physics and graphics and whatnot. Sometimes you just have to push yourself to the limit. The code up top is for free-for-all, but here are the other versions.

Gun Game: 2569-3509-2051
Team Deathmatch: 5937-1994-7160
CTF: 8674-2239-5428

Bubble Burst - 3359-2387-5824

Making use of Fortnite's new swimming and diving mechanics, this fun little map tasks you with slicing open a whole bunch of bubbles around a mostly-aquatic map. Come for the fun, stay for the sun.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's 2v2 Gunfight King Map - 9169-2204-8734

I love, love, love Modern Warfare's 2v2 Gunfight mode, and we've finally got another map that recreates one of its strongest arenas. Weapons and items are different each turn, and there's even the option to capture the center flag once the timer runs out. Even better, you're not restricted to 2v2. Toss some more friends in there to make it 3v3 or 4v4 if you like.

Metallica's Carol of the Bells Christmas Light Show - 7801-5922-7519

This is absolutely the dumb Fortnite creative mode stuff I live for. Forget zone wars, to hell with prop hunts, someone took your neighbor's gaudy Christmas light show spectacle and put it into a video game. Even better, all the choreographed lights line up pretty well with Metallica's cover of Carol of the Bells. Not a bad way to say bye to the holidays.

Lonely Fisherman's Lighthouse - 8688-9518-3797

I love it when someone takes Fortnite's creative tools and just tries to build a natural, lived-in space—sort of like if Gone Home had been built by Epic. That's (sort of) what you get with the Lonely Fisherman's Lighthouse, a small, compact space that's full of cool little details to discover. I'm not entirely sure if I "solved" what happened to the fisherman, or if there even is a mystery to solve, but I had fun tooling around with this area and I hope more like it keep getting made.

Zone Wars: Permafrost - 1356-9797-8051

A slippery sliding zone wars map that starts with a lovely tumble down a hill and over an icy lake. It's perfect for comically fast drive-by eliminations, or just accidentally tossing yourself into the storm.

Knucklepucks - 9573-4742-6618

A perfectly little fun bit of ice hocky and tag. Players try to take possession of the glowing llama, and earn points for every second they hold it. The first to 100 points wins, and it's a tight little experience that achieves exactly what it sets out to be.

KK Slider's Santa's Workshop Mini-Games - 2635-9271-6191

It's a little bit Fortnite, a little bit Mario Party. You and some friends can square off in a randomly chosen assortment of Christmas-themed mini-games. There's bumper go-karts over any icy lake, a toy-sorting game, and for some reason a game where you try to grenade bobbles and golf carts into a circle. Thankfully, it all keeps track of your score for you and crowns a winner after five rounds.

Ski Shooters - 1035-5206-8493

As a longtime, devout follower of the Church of Snowboard Kids, I'm all for an arcadey downhill shooting mini-game. Players start at the top of a mountain, starting with one weapon, and attempt to take out other players with other weapons and grenades you can snatch along the way. There's even a couple fun ramps that lead to higher vantage points, and an appropriate Christmas theme. No snowboarding dog, however.

Ski Park - 8740-3316-5899

Prefer more freeform snowboarding? Check out this surprisingly large construction, with multiple hills of various shapes and sizes. Even better, acceleration pads help get you back up to the top in no time.

FFA Morpheus Map from Unreal Tournament - 0508-8570-9807

This custom free-for-all map is a surprisingly well-done recreation of Unreal Tournament 99's Morpheus map. Creator wertandrew goes so far as to lower gravity, which makes sprinting and jumping from one platform to another and one-shotting your enemy mid-air all that much more satisfying.

Compact Combat Chapter 2 - 2436-4619-1585

Look at how cute it all is.

The Fortnite Compact Combat maps are a pretty regular tradition in the world of creative codes, and it looks like the Chapter 2 map has finally gotten its due.  Creator P_recs has managed to make a miniature version of the entire map, including all the major landmarks, like the dam and Steamy Stacks. Even better, all the loot chests you can find are miniature as well, making it a challenge on its own to find them while avoiding enemy fire.

Gunfight: Pinewood Forest - 9189-9290-1074

I'm a huge, huge fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's new 2v2 Gunfight mode, and it looks like someone went and Fortnite-ified one of its best maps. Originally called "Pine" in Modern Warfare, this Pinewood Forest creative map does a pretty good job at recreating the overall structure of the asymmetric map. There's two small buildings on either side to snipe at opponents from, a few shipping containers, and lots of other places to take your potshots from. Even better, each team's weapons (and one healing item) are randomly generated. A small storm also rolls in, forcing players closer towards the center after about a minute.

Patient 104 - 5553-3300-1757

It's my favorite kind of spooky Fortnite adventure: One that doesn't require stupid leaps of logic and design to finish. Creator Rynex here has done a bang up job of creating a spooky little hospital, with enough balance between puzzles, exploration, and general misadventuring. And yes, I'll admit, it got me with a jump scare, you jerk.

The Cursed Forest - 6024-5002-6192

Gotta squeeze in all the spooky maps I can before it becomes ill-fitting. The Cursed Forest is a competently designed little adventure, with romps through a forest (duh) dark tunnels, and graveyards alike. Dare I say, the lighting in Fortnite is just so dang good (especially on PC, of course) that it makes even amateur maps just a bit more terrifying.

Spencer Mansion - 6345-4201-8801

Yep, you're reading that right. Someone went and Fortnite'd the Spencer Mansion from Resident Evil. You start out in the woods and are forced to flee from a gang of Fortnite zombies, straight into the mansion itself, just like RE1 intro. It's far from a 1:1 recreation, but I found myself chuckling at how the layout reminded me of the early stages of that classic survival horror locale.

The Ark from The 100 - 0961-3332-5293

Fortnite creative codes: the ark from 100

I've yet to watch The 100, but I hear good things, and this recreation of the space station that the main cast survives on looks impressive as hell. It's classified as a prop hunt, but it's just fun to look around.

Halloween Story - 9312-2909-8471

I love me some good spooky games. Silent Hill, this ain't, but if you're looking for an aesthetically well-designed challenge adventure, this one comes stuffed with enough pumpkins to to choke a llama.

Duck Hunt - 6122-8143-7360

Creator: NJ Checkmate

Everyone loves Duck Hunt, and while there isn't any dog to get revenge on, you'll certainly feel almost as satisfied shooting your friends out of the sky. One team turns themselves into rubber duckies and fly around collecting wood to drop into tree, while the other team turns them into red paste with randomized weapons. In my time with it, the controls felt really smooth, and I could see this becoming a fun diversion for a small group of friends.

Bordernite - 2731-2533-2140

Creator: Prudiz

If you missed having a Borderlands area on the map, you can still get that mayhem in creative mode. Prudiz has built a surprisingly large "RPG" experience where you go around collecting orbs, surviving hordes of zombies, and battling a boss in hell, all with Borderlands' unique aesthetic.

Bikini Bottom - 5269-3591-1191

Fortnite creative codes: Bikini Bottom

Creator: theblackshield

This recreation of Spongebob Squarepants' hometown has surprising depth, if you'll forgive the pun. It's a sort of horde mode where Plankton has unleashed the dead on the unsuspecting populace. Honestly, it's way less frightening than that one episode where Spongebob exposed his brain, but then again, nothing is scarier than that.

The Room - 3489-2263-1152

Creator: Rynex

You've got only 35 minutes to navigate your way out of this maze of deathtraps, including a pool filled with lasers, weird math puzzles, and a bunch of other nonsense. It kind of gives me vibes similar to We Were Here, the co-op puzzler. Would definitely recommend bringing a friend or two for this one.

Super Smash Bros. Hyrule Castle - 6400-7723-2171

I was one of those high-pitched kids screaming at an N64 on Christmas, so believe me when I say that the architecture of Smash Bros' Hyrule Castle is forever etched into my brain. Evidently, Fortnite Creative map creator MrSlickWillyz was, too.

It's basically a deathmatch map built using the exact same layout as the original N64 map, but you get the plunger grappling gun, so you can get some crazy jumps, just like the original Smash. Check out that masterfully edited trailer (with plenty of nostalgia hits) to get an idea of what it looks like in motion.

Drift Away Island - 6113-4669-2051

I love the drift board in Fortnite. It's basically the easiest and most fun way of getting around that stupidly large map, and Epic was nice enough to include some trick mechanics for when you actually get some air. But there's only a few jumps worth hitting on the actual Fortnite map, so what's a player to do?

Creator Absurdite has treated us to a really well-designed skate park, absolutely choking on coins to collect, and plenty of jumps. Even better, it mostly feels like a natural skate park, where one area naturally flows into another so you can keep up your run.

Junkyard Juke - 1113-6823-4725

Junkyard Juke is my favorite prop hunt in a long time, and not just because it was featured during the first-ever Fortnite World Championship. In its original form, multiple teams would either be props trying to sneak their way into the incinerator at the center of the map, or they'd be the hunters standing atop a tower right above it. What makes things interesting is the red light, green light-style gameplay. The hunters are periodically blinded every 5 seconds, which helps give the props a chance to move up and keeps things interesting for the shooters. Other than that, it's a fairly well-balanced map, with lots of nooks and crannies for props to exit their spawning area and stand a fair chance.

Flag Runners - 5591-6764-6822

Boring name aside, this multiplayer map stands out for one big, flashy reason. The designers went out of their way to exude 80's synthwave energy in every aspect of the design, down to the giant segmented sun graphic hanging in the center.

Baseball Mania - 0996-1152-8338

America's two favorite past times come together for this fully automated sports romp. The map may look a little funky since it's one giant mechanized score keeper, but it works well enough for two teams to have a little bit of fun. It accounts for everything, including strikes, singles, doubles, and a big ol' home run in the center of the diamond. Even better, a Durr Burger won't cost you $15.

Ice Frosted Hockey - 1255-7841-5738

It ain't exactly Rocket League's hockey mode, but it is a pretty fun equivalent. Things start off with a bang as teams careen down a hill into the ring, and then slap the ball around til someone scores enough points to win. Thankfully, things get a little more interesting when someone grabs a special item, like a pulse grenade or a rapidly inflating snowman that blocks the goal. Call it a good way to beat the summer heat.

Escape From Nexus - 9869-3155-3930

I'm a sucker for any creative code island that sticks a story onto some fun puzzles. You're some sort of interstellar traveler, but your ship has been commandeered by an alien threat and you've got to work your way through a hostile planet full of zombie creatures and some cryptic ruins to get to safety. It's not the first of its kind, but it definitely has a unique style.

Detective Stories: Isabelle - 7068-3818-0229

Detective Stories: Isabelle isn't something you always see in Fortnite's creative mode: A hard-boiled detective mystery with clues, a spooky soundtrack, and a possible murder mystery that demands a bit of thinking from you.

OK, so the writing isn't exactly Sherlock, and some of the puzzles are a little (maybe very) maddening, but it's still interesting enough that I wanted to keep moving forward with the investigation. Evidently, creator "wertandrew" is also making a sequel.

Ruin's Realm - Charge the Ancient Seals - 1347-0027-1101

This is the closest I’ve come to feeling like I’m playing an old school Quake deathmatch in Fortnite, if only because of the tight arena and ability to launch yourself high into the sky. It also helps that the map’s design, while a little easy to snag yourself on, looks like something you’d expect out of id Software: Big demonic slabs of stone, chains reaching into the ceiling, and a hand-shaped altar in the center.

Dead by Fortlight - 8099-5981-3796

This one's a creative ode to the horror game Dead by Daylight, where a monstrous slasher chases down a couple dumb teens while they try to escape. Dead by Fortlight gives the killer an infinity blade and tasks survivors with destroying generators. The killer does their thing and kills while survivors take to the corn and hide, working together to distract the killer while working towards their collective escape.

Zone Wars to the Future - 2080-7366-8235

A narrow map, plenty of building materials and items, and a storm quickly pushing two teams to the center. This is Fortnite's endgame condensed into a round-based arena shooter format. Skip the looting and get right to the good stuff.

Tic-Tac-Toe - 8783-3118-9206

Yep, it's a fully-functioning game of Tic-Tac-Toe that can even detect a win.

Compact Combat - Season 1 - 0553-7157-6638

It's the original Fortnite map before the rocket and the cube and all that noise, but it's tiny. Compact Combat is a miniature take from P_recs on what started it all. Novel, detailed, and a fun little deathmatch map.

Hooshen's Hoo Baller Pinball Island - 4573-9507-5308

Ballers may be a controversial subject in the regular game of Fortnite, but you can't deny how fun they are to mess around with. This hilarious bouncy pinball course is all you need to see to have fun inside of a Baller again.

Azaliak_iPhone's Raft Wars  - 9026-2925-8175

New to season 8, this map is all about naval warfare using the game's brand new pirate cannons. It's like Fortnite meets Sea of Thieves in the best way possible.

Modern Warfare 2 Terminal - xlp620  - 6412-7533-9638

Fortnite creative codes: Modern Warfare 2 Terminal

Another classic FPS map reimagined in Fortnite. Noob tubes optional.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - Warehouse - 1654-0324-7788

It was inevitable. While the driftboard isn't quite as easy to control as a PS1-era  digital skateboard, the exaggerated proportions make up for the exaggerated airtime you'll get.

Fury Racing - Snowy Summit - 1731-2660-6859

A bumpy road and tight track make for a great all-terrain course. You'll need to play this one slow and smart to get ahead.

Head to the next page for even more excellent Fortnite creative codes.

Seven games in one - 2900-4196-3823

A great map for hanging with friends. Featuring seven games, including ATK sumo, Duck Hunt (your friends are the ducks), a grapple arena, and more, this is an easy recommendation for pals looking for somewhere to mess around between squad games.

Skyscraper Escape - 5350-4663-4208

Descend floor by floor and take on puzzles and parkour challenges along the way.

Portal - 8883-7894-7324

This one is wild. 10 full stages designed to emulate the effect of moving through portals, a la the classic videogame, Portal. IdiotsPlayGames even made a model GlaDOS out of Fortnite assets. Fun parkour in a creative, familiar space.

Crab Rave - 8552-3258-2013

The recent addition of music blocks to Creative mode has completely reinvigorated the community, and Roeloffsyt's Crab Rave (based on this old gem) is one of the first exemplary music stages.

Giant Ice Dragon - 4351-4005-8292

Created as a Block Party submission, PrudizCreations' Giant Ice Dragon is exemplary of how you can use seemingly simple tools in ways they weren't necessarily intended to make something wild. It's a damn sculpture.

Escape the Dream - QJAG - 5496-4876-0626

An intricate maze that makes clever use of black tiles to disorient and induce crying. Some challenging platforming can frustrate, but the surreal visuals make it worthwhile.

Lordly Labyrinth - Jespergran  - 1991-9282-9857

An dense, detailed maze made for The Block that does excellent work as a standalone hide-and-seek playground.

Tiny Towers parkour challenge - 9674-8089-7319

Hop around a tiny interpretation of Tilted Towers. Can you reach llama at the top without building or using glider redeploy? I sure as hell can't.

Snipers vs. Runners -  7352-4203-8482

One player needs to get from point A to point B, all while another player snipes at them from afar. A novel mode that makes for good practice, too.

Mystic Islands - CCruzFight - 6609-4915-0804

Eye candy and a great deathmatch map for snipers, Mystic Islands are a proof of concept by CCruzFight. By making use of some prop variables, they were able to flip a rock upside down and create floating islands.

Battle Bus Hide & Seek - LordSpinkingham - 9653-5199-9021

It's hide-and-seek in a massive battle bus. Enough said.

Warm-up Course - Candook - 5618-2963-5299

If you're just trying to get some wins under the belt, this course is the perfect place to practice complex edits, builds, and shots (sometimes in combination) before failing all night long.

Looming Llama - St0rmh4wk - 1090-0783-2499

This creation reminds me of the bit in Wild Wild West that takes place in/around a massive mechanical spider. This is that machine, but a llama.

A badass bridge - Tollmolia  - 9795-3537-9919

It's not much for deathmatch or hide-and-seek, but it's doing well in the Very Cool Bridge department. An example of the foreboding detail possible with Fortnite's building tools.

Green screen - Josherzzz - 1523-9832-0089

Want to make complex machinima? Bad memes? Use this simple map.

Nuketown Reimagined - 2012-6281-8095

I didn't play much Call of Duty back when, but I still know Nuketown like the back of my hand. Here it is in Fortnite... reimagined.

The Cube - Ferrinheight - 7512-6248-2736

A maddening death trap, a maze built to torment—it is CUBE.

Explorer - Snekiecr8 - 6224-0839-9043

What if Salvador Dali played Fortnite? What if M.C. Escher was Ninja's dad? Well, I'm not sure, to be honest. But this sure is a neat, disorienting, and surreal platforming challenge.

Dust 2 - VariousPurple - 1068-0274-9341

It was inevitable. Play the classic CS map in Fortnite.
