Fortnite: How to Get Free Bobo Back Bling | Game Rant

Fortnitemares 2020 is in its second week in Fortnite, filling the battle royale map with all sorts of spooky challenges. Along with riding witch brooms, visiting witch shacks on the Fortnite map, and even becoming undead and haunting the place, players have a lot of Halloween-themed mischief to get up to. But there is one challenge to get the Bobo back bling cosmetic that is the scariest of all.

Back bling cosmetics are usually something players have to buy with V-bucks, a Fortnite currency that normally costs real money. However, the Boba back bling can be earned by completing just one Fortnitemares challenge: to consume Legendary loot as a Shadow. While that might seem like a difficult challenge, there are a few things that players can do to make completing this daunting challenge a lot easier.

First, players have to know how to become a Shadow in Fortnite. Midas has returned from beyond the grave as a ghost, and any player who turns into a Shadow while playing joins his cause to take out the remainder of the still-living fighters. Thankfully, turning into a Shadow is really easy; all players have to do is die. Once they take enough damage, they will come back as a creepy, purple spirit to haunt the map.

While the "Consume Legendary loot as a Shadow" challenge is technically a squad challenge, players can do it all on their own. If any player in the squad finishes the challenge, all of their squadmates will get the free Bob back bling as well. That means players can nab it just by being in a group with someone who finishes the challenge, which would make it even easier than eating Fortnite candy.

However, if a Fortnite player wants to get the challenge done themselves instead of waiting for someone else to do it, there are some steps they can take to get it completed quickly. First, players want to drop to one of the locations with a lot of fishing locations and poles, such as Camp Cod, Slurpy Swamp, or Coral Castle. After finding a good spot to fish, collect some materials for building, like wood.

Now it's time to go fishing in Fortnite with fishing poles or harpoons. The drop rate for Legendaries while fishing is higher than just running around the map and hoping to find something good. Legendary fish, thermal fish, items, and weapons all count for this challenge, so keep fishing until something that qualifies.

This is where the collected materials come in handy. In order to become a Shadow to eat the Legendary loot, players have to die. And building a tall enough tower to jump and die from should be pretty easy. So drop the Legendary loot in a safe place and build upwards. Once dead, players can change into a Shadow and find their Legendary stash again. Consume the loot, then shriek around the Fortnite map to detect still alive players for some fun while completing the match.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
