Modern Warfare Fan Wins Round With Awesome Throwing Knife Move
Sometimes all it takes to win a match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a bit of luck. While instances of pure luck often are rare, they can make great game clips and become a story to tell friends. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gives players tons of opportunities to experience these streaks of luck, as one fan quickly found out.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community often debates exactly how game features operate in conjunction with each other. It is not always clear what in-game items will interact with another, so experimentation is often needed. Still, when careful planning does not work out players can always resort to winging it for unpredictable results.
In a clip posted by Kraft478, fans can clearly see that the player is in a round-based Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game mode. As they approach the last player on the enemy team, they slowly move forward reinforced by their impenetrable riot shield. As is usual in riot shield builds, they pull out a throwing knife and lob it at the enemy to no success. It is not until they go for the second throw that sometimes remarkable occurs in a matter of seconds.
At the same time as the knife leaves the Modern Warfare player's hand the enemy tosses out a pack of C4. While normally the enemy would be safe as the C4 still had some distance to travel, instead the knife impacted the explosive and caused both players to immediately die.
The clip is made perfect by the follow-up mid-round dialogue as the enemy can clearly be heard asking "Did you just knife my C4?" As the clip plays back slowly it becomes clear that yes, that is exactly what happened at that moment, detonating the Modern Warfare player's C4 way too early and killing both players.
The comments below the clip are filled with fans expressing their admiration under the mutually understood phrase of "Noice!" This moment is rare and seeing it caught on video is a great opportunity for many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare riot shield fans.
While it is unknown if they won the game, that round makes up for everything else that could occur during the match. While both players laughed off the encounter, fans now know it is possible to knife a C4 and cause mutual devastation. Still, the chance of this happening is so low that recreating it would be a challenge in itself.
