Modern Warfare Message Confirms Season 7 is Coming | Game Rant
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just begun its Season 6 content, but it seems that this may not be the last season for the shooter. Although Activision has not officially confirmed the existence of Season 7, in-game Modern Warfare content has already begun to reference it.
There are subtle references in the promotional writing of aspects of Modern Warfare that suggest a 7th Season may be coming. Alongside the in-game text, the official Call of Duty website mentions a continuation of the Battle Pass into a new season. Although not a confirmation, it is enough to start the fan theory gears well into working.
There is also a chance that Season 7 will not be coming to Modern Warfare, and instead, Warzone will continue on. This would not be surprising, as the end of Season 6 is around the same time that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches. This would, however, mean that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will start in a 7th Season continuing where Modern Warfare left off. The Call of Duty community is not sure exactly how that would work with many fans believing that starting the Season count over a much cleaner solution.
Still, there could be some confusion as Modern Warfare Season 1 content is currently not listed separately. It is instead listed simply as Season 1 content, which means continuing the count may benefit the Warzone community in the long run.
Still, some information can be gleaned from the possibility of Season 7. First, players can estimate the launch time and date based on previous Season examples. Season 7 is most likely to appear on Tuesday, November 24th. Considering that other seasons arrive at 11 pm PT the night before the intended date, fans can probably expect the next Season to follow the same pattern.
With Black Ops Cold War set to launch on November 13th, most fans are expecting Warzone to connect with the new title. If this is true, it will be interesting to see how the developers tie Verdansk into the new game's narrative and explain exactly how the transfer is set to work.
Until then, fans have tons of Season 6 content to explore. From secret Warzone killstreaks to a brand new truck-based game mode, fans have only begun to scratch the surface of what this new season has to offer in epic and fun gameplay moments.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
