Apex Legends Player Almost Falls Off Olympus Map, Makes Miraculous Save

Apex Legends Season 7 is here, and players are still getting the hang of its brand new map. Apex Legends Season 7's Olympus map is located high above the clouds, meaning there are plenty of precarious locations.

A recent video on the Apex Legends subreddit shows one player having an incredibly close brush with death thanks to the new map's lack of solid ground in some areas. Luckily, Apex Legends’ newest legend Horizon has a few tricks in her arsenal that helped the player save themselves from certain death.

The video comes from Reddit user DYSPROssium, which shows the player engaging in a skirmish with an enemy before retreating to renew their shields. Unfortunately, it seems the player miscalculated their jump and went careening over the edge of the map. Thankfully, Apex Legends’ new legend Horizon has an ability called “Gravity Lift” that reverses the flow of gravity up to 30 meters off the ground.

Thanks to Horizon’s ability and some quick thinking, the player safely lands back on the map, despite nearly falling off. A member of Apex’s balancing team even saw the post and said, “That’s gotta be the deadliest spot in the game. I fall off that corner on a near daily basis. Nice save though!” It seems the development team knows just how deadly some parts of Apex Legends’ new map can be. Hopefully, players are now starting to get more familiar with the Olympus map, so near-death experiences like this can be kept to a minimum.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version arriving sometime next year.
