Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Full Launch Week Patch Notes Revealed
During Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's launch weekend, the game received several improvements to update and address many issues in its content. Now, the launch week patch notes have detailed the many Black Ops Cold War bugs that were fixed to improve the gameplay experience.
Treyarch focused on providing fixes for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War geared towards improving gameplay stability and fixing various issues in the Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The rest of the fixes involved fine-tuning weapons, Scorestreaks, and other game modes. There were also fixes for many crashes that were caught by players and were addressed by Treyarch in the patch notes.
The first set of fixes were for weapons used in Black Ops Cold War's Multiplayer that received various changes to improve the weapons. Some standouts include the FFAR1 Assault's increased recoil, the M16 and Tactical Rifle Charlie have the same changes with slight differences, and the Shotgun Bravo's slightly reduced damage. Treyarch was able to apply sweeping changes for all Sniper Rifles' fire times and fine-tuned their barrel attachments while reversing the removed changes for the Submachine Gun Alpha.
The next set of fixes were for Black Ops Cold War's Game Modes: Hardcore, Search & Destroy, Free-For-All, CDL Hardpoint, Combined Arms, Spawns, and Custom Games. Treyarch specifically fixed issues addressed by players such as the time limit for defusing bombs in Search & Destroy and players spawning outside of the play space in CDL Hardpoint. The third set of changes were for Scorestreaks which reduced costs for Combat Row, Sentry Turret, Air Patrol, and VTOL Escort while the rest received increased costs and a few other updates.
The crawlspace in the Garrison Map is fixed, tomahawks are throwable at round start, eliminations received extended time, and finishing moves can be triggered on misaligned surfaces, while players killed by them don't end up in awkward poses. Zombies mode received bug fixes for many issues in the Perks, Weapons, Dead Ops Arcade 3, and more were addressed and improved. Treyarch also fixed various issues concerning Black Ops Cold War's cross-platform performance from controllers to split-screen, chat, and others.
On top of the fixes, the patch notes reveal that Treyarch launched the new Trello Board which serves as a place for players to stay up-to-date on ongoing game news. Call of Duty players will be able to use the Trello Board to keep track of the latest issues and patch notes for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
