Genshin Impact: Finding the Secret Bird Egg Mountain | Game Rant
While many Genshin Impact players may be focusing on the game's ongoing Unreconciled Stars event, the game's underlying mechanics remain ever-present. All players still need to power up their characters, and cook up items to heal with, which require harvestable resources like the valuable Bird's Egg.
Travelers are offered a variety of ingredients and dishes to choose from in Genshin Impact, as the game's main form of health restoration. Players must rely on delicious meals, hand-crafted after gathering the correct set of ingredients (and the relevant recipe).
One of the trickier ingredients to find is the common Bird's Egg. This item presents Genshin Impact players with a unique challenge, as it often appears in obnoxious locations to reach. Bird's Eggs can be found on any essentially any high-altitude location. Be it tall trees, rooftops, and Mondstadt castle walls; if it's tall and desolate, Teyvat birds will lay eggs there. Each nest contains only a handful of eggs, which presents Travelers with the unique challenge of having to scope out numerous high-altitude locations for Bird's Eggs.
This can get cumbersome, but players can look for the Qingyun Peak Secret Bird Egg Mountain. The name is unofficial, but the hoard it offers is real as the free Primogem rewards players receive from miHoYo. If players head to the Liyue region, they'll soon become acquainted with myriad mountains and cliffs, one of the tallest of which is Qingyun Peak. One smaller summit, tucked away in the western recesses of Qingyun Peak, bears its own ornithological secret: Heaps of Bird's Eggs.
This peak is found in the Huaguang Stone Forest that's left of the Qingyun Peak teleport waypoint. Players may have recently visited this area in pursuit of newly-spawning Bamboo Shoots, but venture further north and a remarkable number of Bird's Eggs await.
One of this ingredient's more notable uses is for the simple Teyvat Fried Egg, which requires a single Bird's Egg to cook and will revive a fallen character. It doesn't restore much additional HP, but it's arguably the most budget-friendly resurrection meal to prepare. They aren't used used by many of the new Genshin Impact Version 1.1 recipes, but they are needed for upwards of seven different culinary creations.
To arrive at the peak, it's suggested players simply go to the waypoint found north of Qingyun Peak and the Huaguang Stone Forest. This point is actually high up enough on the map to spawn Violetgrass, so it's suitable to use as a jumping point. From there, Bird Egg Mountain is but a glide away.
Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for Switch.
