Riot Games Releases K/DA ALL OUT Merch | Game Rant
At this year's League of Legends World Championship, virtual K-pop group K/DA returned. But unlike 2018 or 2019 with True Damage, Riot Games did not just release a single song. This year, a whole five-track EP titled ALL OUT was released.
To mark its release, Riot has released a merchandise line. Available on the True Damage website, the League of Legends collection consists of various t-shirts and hoodies ranging in price up to $65. The clothing pieces are branded with the images and signatures of the girl band members.
The supergroup has had two augmented reality performances at the 2018 and 2020 World Championships. While some have criticized the 2020 performance, stating that it was marred by poor quality models and lighting, it appears that Riot will not be stopping any time soon in producing music, promising "a more global pop sound" for future K/DA releases.
Besides this merchandise release, Riot also collaborated with Nike and Japanese clothing brand AAPE to release two other collections. These collaborations were made to coincide with the 2020 World Championship, which was won by Korean team DAMWON Gaming.
This year, Seraphine was added to the existing line-up of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa where she rises from her indie roots to be able to share the stage with the in-universe supergroup. There are various controversies surrounding Seraphine including complaints that her kit is uninspired, that Riot appropriated mental health issues for commercial purposes, and allegations that the champion is based off a real person without their approval.
The ALL OUT EP consists of five tracks performed by the usual real-life line-up of Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, and Miyeon and Soyeon from (G)I-DLE and several guests including TWICE and Kim Petras. It is available on all major streaming services including Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
