Star Renegades Confirms Console Release Dates | Game Rant
A new roguelike tactical RPG, Star Renegades, is being released for consoles for fans to enjoy.
From the developers of Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander, Star Renegades makes its way from PC exclusivity to join the ranks of console games starting on November 19th. Making this the second game title coming from developers Massive Damage.
In Star Renegades, players control a squad of rebels soldiers as they fight to overthrow the villainous group known as The Imperium. Each level brings the squad closer to the center of the Empire as they work their higher up the chain of command.
Gameplay works by timing the squad members' abilities to create combos that interrupt the enemy's abilities and counter their attacks based on what the developers call its "Timeline Battle System." Fans will be able to unlock new characters, abilities, and upgrade loot and gear that they can bring with them on dungeon runs.
Both bosses and in-game environments are procedurally generated and constantly throw the player into fresh new environments to fight enemies that evolve alongside them. Even gameplay events and mission priorities will change for the players as they progress through the game.
The developer, Massive Damage, worked really hard to reinvent the turn-based RPG system and sprite work to new age consoles and gamers alike, so hopefully, its hard work pays off. While Star Renegades will be available to play on Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch on November 18th, but sadly this roguelike game won't be available for PlayStation 4 fans until November 25th. Luckily, that isn't too much of a time gap between release dates for fans.
Star Renegades is now available to play on Steam. It will be released onto the Switch and Xbox One on November 19th, and the PlayStation 4 on November 25th.
