Watch Dogs Legion: How to Get Rid of Operatives | Game Rant
Watch Dogs: Legion is the third installment in the series, and players can recruit legions of different types of operatives to help further their plans in Watch Dog's dystopian, post-Brexit London. But sometimes an operative has outlived their usefulness, which means players are looking for a way to get rid of them.
Legion has a strict limit of 45 active playable operatives and tagged potentials operatives combined, so if players have been recruiting everyone they come across, they will quickly run out of slots. In order to get some trophies, players have recruit certain people, like the Meta-Gaming trophy that can be earned by recruiting a video game designer.
When playing in Watch Dog: Legion's permadeath mode, players can get rid of operatives simply by letting them die. While operatives in non-permadeath mode just go to a hospital when their HP hits zero, permadeath removes operatives from the game, forcing players to recruit someone new to replace them. However, if players just want to drop an operative without killing them or they aren't playing permadeath mode, players can easily remove teammates through their profile.
Much like the permadeath option, removed operatives can't be recruited again. They'll disappear completely, so make sure that they absolutely don't have a place on the team before kicking them out. Also, players should only get rid of one operative at a time even if they want to get rid of several; recruiting the best Watch Dogs: Legion operatives can be a time-consuming task, and players will need manpower to get those tasks done.
Go into the Watch Dogs: Legion team menu and select the operative to be removed. Once on their profile page, there will be a small button in the right corner labeled "Retire Operative." Xbox users will need to select it using X, PS4 users will select Square, and PC users can just click the "Retire" button. After that, the operative will be removed permanently.
Prestige Operatives' profile pages don't have the "Retire Operative" button. This means that there is only one way to get rid of them if they no longer fit the team dynamic: permadeath killing. Just send that particular recruit on a mission they won't return from and then wait until their slot in the team becomes vacant. The player will be able to create the best possible team of operatives through the Watch Dogs: Legion recruit system.
Watch Dogs: Legion is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
