Animal Crossing: New Horizons Releases New Year's Items
This year, fans have seen quite a lot of content released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With periodical updates that include additional content for players to interact with, as well as seasonal updates that correlate with the time of year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has given players hours upon hours of entertainment. Now, it seems the developers have one last surprise for players before 2020 comes to a close.
Currently, many members of the game's community are enjoying the winter update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that came out several weeks ago. With so many holiday-themed items and customization options, it has led to a lot of memorable creations to come out of the Animal Crossing community. However, with New Year's quickly approaching, Animal Crossing players will now be able to celebrate the new year in style.
Some fans will likely use Animal Crossing as a way to say goodbye to 2020, and the developers appear to have players covered. Announced on Twitter via the official Animal Crossing account, the game will feature New Year's items to help players celebrate. This will include food items and party hats.
Players can access all of these items via the Nook Shopping App on their in-game Nook phone, or from the Nook Shopping section of the ATM. It would be wise for players to purchase these items as soon as possible, considering that most items ordered via Nook Shopping tend to take some time before being delivered in-game.
It will be interesting to see what players do with these items. While this isn't the biggest content update to come from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it should still give players a way to celebrate New Year's alone or with friends in-game. Though, what's excited to think about is what will potentially come out of Animal Crossing in 2021.
Going into the new year, there's just a few major holidays that Animal Crossing has yet to cover, one of which being Valentine's Day. While an Animal Crossing Valentine's Day event has yet to be announced, it does seem like a genuine possibility considering how the game has provided content updates for various seasonal holidays. Valentine's Day seems like the next logical step in terms of new Animal Crossing content, but until the event is announced players can enjoy all of the New Year's-themed items the game now has to offer.
