With the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1, players will be able to once again drop into the depths of Rebirth Island. The island is tied directly into the lore of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War campaign and seems to give more information about Adler's mysterious past. Although it is a much smaller experience, the close-knit combat scenarios offer a different experience for players who are wanting to drop directly into the action and being blasting away all their enemies.

The trailer gives a great aerial view of the Call of Duty: Warzone Rebirth Island map as many of the campaign characters from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War drop into the battle. Rebirth island was established as a Soviet base in 1984 and was used to continue the development of the German biochemical weapon Nova 6. After spending years testing it on livestock, pigs, primates, and prisoners, the facility begins shipping the compound to various cities.

As the Soviets begin to abandon the facility, CIA troops led an attack on the compound to extract the Nazi scientist Friedrich Steiner. Despite the facility being compromised, the Soviets deployed Nova 6 against all advancing troops forcing both sides to battle in HazMat suits under severe conditions. Now that the gas has cleared, Call of Duty: Warzone players will be dropping into the abandoned test site once again for a new and dangerous operation.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be making quite the impact on the Warzone community. As the new map is added, players will also be fielding new operators, weapons, and equipment. The game expands its boundaries and becomes a more fulfilling experience for its community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
