Cyberpunk 2077: Should You Buy Quadra Type-66 Avenger (And Where to Find It)
Cyberpunk 2077 offers a multitude of selections from several vehicle classes, including hypercars, sports cars, motorcycles, and more. One dilemma players must face is whether to spend their hard-earned eurodollars (€$) on one of the many vehicles V's contacts try to sell them.
Even though V can acquire different vehicles by completing certain quests instead of paying outright for them, the cars they can purchase offer exclusive looks, handling, and speeds that might make the price tag worth it. One such car is the Quadra Type-66 Avenger.
As it compares to Cyberpunk 2077's other vehicles, the Avenger ranks 8th in overall top speed and 4th when only comparing it to others in its class. This mid-range car doesn't hold a candle to vehicles in the hypercar class like the Rayfield Caliburn or the Aerondight S9 "Guinevere," coming in at top speeds of 211 mph and 190 mph, respectively. However, it does hold its own against other Quadra cars within in the sports class in terms of both affordability and speed.
Especially at lower levels, €$55,000 is a lot of money to spend on a single item, even if it is something as significant as a vehicle. With that said, the Type-66 Avenger has two competitors in its range: the Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" and the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech (top speed 182 mph), the latter of which diverges from the Type-66 model and is instead a sleeker coupe. The "Javelina" goes for €$73,000 while the Turbo-R V-Tech can be acquired for free as a quest reward.
For players enamored by the look and feel of the Quadra Type-66 and have just reached 20 street cred, the Avenger might be a wise decision to sate V's need for speed. On the other hand, fans of the Type-66 at or nearing 30 street cred might want to wait for a fixer to offer up the "Javelina" for sale. In the meantime, whether V needs more street cred or eurodollars, players might want to pursue the "Sex on Wheels" Side Job to get the Turbo-R V-Tech.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
