Cyberpunk 2077: Where to Get Crafting Spec Armadillo | Game Rant
Most new players will turn their attention to Legendary weapons or equipment in Cyberpunk 2077. While these are great, mods are just as important to acquire, especially Legendary mods like the Arasaka Software.
Obviously, players won't start with the best options when playing Cyberpunk 2077, rather some simpler mods. One of these is the Armadillo, a mod so common it can be considered ubiquitous. It's a simple defense enhancer for clothing, and layering on several instances can make players very tanky. Of particular interest to many builds is the crafting spec for the Armadillo, so here's how to find it.
The Armadillo crafting spec can be found at an "Assault in Progress." These are small combat missions where gangs are perpetrating violence, and V will have the option to help the NCPD contain it. They're a bit similar compared to the Cyberpsycho Sightings, where players find things like the Ritual Shard. One particular Assault in Progress is going on in the South-Eastern section of Northside, one of the areas in Watson. Inside a garage, there are many things to pick up, but what players want is one of the crates on the table that contains the Armadillo crafting spec.
It's definitely easy to miss, and not everyone will find it at first. One common mistake in Cyberpunk 2077 is to fast travel everywhere, but doing so leads to missing out on opportunities to get new gear and specs. In this case it's a good time investment, since the Armadillo is very easy to craft once the specs are obtained.
There are a few different uses for the Armadillo, which may come as a surprise given it's a commonly craftable mod that raises defense. However, it is essential for some of the tankier builds in the game, and since the defense it gives scales with V's level, V will always have consistent defense with this spec. In addition, it can be used for the Max Crafting Level exploit, since crafting it requires few materials.
Other uses include selling the crafted Armadillos for Eddies, which many players might opt for. Eddies are hard to come by in Night City, and scraping enough together for big purchases can be tricky. While the Armadillos themselves cannot be used for Cyberpunk 2077's "Philosopher Stone" Unlimited Money trick, they can lead to enough level ups to earn the perk necessary for the trick.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in 2021.
