Destiny 2 Stasis Glitch Lets Titans Rocket into the Sky
As more and more players continue to jump into the newly expanded Destiny 2: Beyond Light, there are equally increasing opportunities for the limits of the game to pushed against until something eventually snaps. Players are fairly used to seeing issues periodically crop up in the game, with some even canceling game modes like Trials of Osiris due to exploits, but a recent glitch may have just opened up the door to see the game from a previously inaccessible angle.
The newest glitch to be uncovered in Destiny 2 comes courtesy of YouTuber JB3, a content creator who tests the confines of the game and posts the sometimes hilariously broken bugs online. These range from cheeses for raid bosses like Atraks-1 from the recent Deep Stone Crypt raid, to fascinating weapon combinations like this most recent one combining Salvation's Grip with a new Titan ability.
To access the glitch, players need to be playing as a Titan with Destiny 2's Salvation's Grip exotic grenade launcher, and then aim a fully charged blast from the weapon at their feet. This will create a pillar of ice on the player that, if they jump and activate the ability Shiver Strike at the peak of their jump, will let them fly through the air at shocking speed. Generally, this will send players flying in the opposite direction that they were facing, but landing the trick just right can result in being sent almost straight up into the air instead.
As far as the practical application of this glitch goes, it likely won't be showing up too often in most PVP game modes like the Crucible or Destiny 2's highly competitive Trials of Osiris. Fans can likely instead to find future videos and guides that will use this glitch to quickly travel around the world, possibly even opening up new routes through raids and other high-level activities. Considering that JB3 has a history of breaking raid bosses in the past, it's likely that a host of new ways to cheese Deep Stone Crypt and the most recent Nightfalls will be on the YouTube channel soon.
The new glitch itself might be helpful for players looking to dig through every secret in Destiny 2: Beyond Light, but this likely won't be one that might ruin the average player's experience in most activities. So, this is definitely a more fun way to mess around with the game that has come since the most recent expansion launched, something that isn't always the case for many of the bugs that have shown up recently. This might be what makes the Titan Salvation Launch so charming in comparison.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
